When I was growing up in the middle to late fifties I seem to remember the radio as being pretty much crap. Occasionally there was stuff by Elvis, Fats Domino, The Everlys, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Righteous Brothers etc, and the few records that we used to play on the mono record player! It was nice music to listen to, but it wasn`t until the early sixties I started to buy records. The usual suspects: the who, the stones, the animals, the beach boys, spencer davis group, the byrds, bob dylan, moody blues, procul harum etc.
One of the most underrated bands of all time.
