Still on The Banana Splits theme, the cartoons they had on the shows can we list them?

I’m sure we had the following on the show:

Arabian knights
The Monkeys (not 100%)
What was the one with the shrinking car?

I’m sure there were more, but buggered if I can remember the rest.

Other shows of the era
Wacky races
Scooby Doo
Perils of Penelope Pitstop
Clangers ( my favourite)
The Herbs (not strictly a cartoon show ) but worth a mention
Mary Mungo and Midge
Captain Scarlet
Thunderbirds

Got to agree on The Clangers, my favourite too. In fact, all those stop animation titles are wonderful. A lot of work went into them and they're really charming, like The Herbs. Loved Wacky Races as well from the cartoon side.

We have a joke in our house regarding the early stop animation Postman Pat. Most of the kids in the village have ginger hair, like Pat - I'm guessing they had a job lot to make the character's hair with - but we always say Pat was popping more than letters through their boxes <laugh>

Loved all of them.

Other ones I liked:

Top Cat
Double Deckers
Catch the pigeon
Hong Kong phoey

Top Cat was another favourite of mine!

Favourite album time again

I'm not sure too many of you would be aware of this one... "Don't Point Your Finger" by Nine Below Zero (1981). I knew someone who had the green vinyl of this and I couldn't get it. Eventually got the CD from the band's website. I am stumped as to why this band weren't bigger and this album in particular is fantastic.

You may, however, have seen them on an episode of the Young Ones as the musical filler (along with Motorhead - Ace Of Spades!) p.s. brilliant harmonica player. I realise many of you don't enjoy the same rock'n'roll vibe as me :p but this one is a gem. The tracks here are in the same order as they appear on the album.
