A top fella, would do ANYTHING for his fellow supporters, always sorting folk out with tickets for the football and cricket, and if you've ever seen the SAFC flags at the cricket worldwide, often behind the bowlers arm in the most prominent spot, then they were Georges. If you seen the post Ashes celebrations with the England cricket team this time last year, then George was in most of them, either sprawled between Swanny and Ally Cook.

Rokers lost a good un. R.I.P Podge.

The bloke was a proper character. Here's his flag after he blagged his way into the members pavillion at the SCG. <laugh>

He'll be much missed across the barmy army as much as the red and white one.

didn't know him but i know a lot of people who did know him and they're all devastated to say the least, must have been a top bloke. R.I.P. Podgey

Gutted to hear of Goerges passing, we had the best of both worlds with him in Portugal a couple of years ago, watching Sunderland and then in the bar watching Durham get to the 20 20 final. Top man, generous with his company. RIP George from me and the lad.

I was on nightshift last night and was surprised how many of the staff new this lad very well...
On a broader scale, suicide once again seems to be on the rise in this country, and it's very sad that people get so down that they feel the need to end it all..

Just thought I would mention, his flag, or at least a flag with SAFC and podgy on it is at the test match today (its the only good thing there though, no crowd, and England still cant play spin)
