It has to be said......the first goal was meant to be a cross. I have watched it over 10 times now, and he's looking towards the players in the box, not the goal. When it goes in, it takes him a few seconds to actually realise what happened. Second goal was class though. All I will say to the Mackems regarding tippy tappy.....Barca are the best team in the world, and play what we play. Difference is, them, you and most other clubs have millions to spend on players. We don't have a player that belongs to us with PL experience. You won, well done. We were better, but didn't score. Was reading this wondering when the DG dig would come in, didn't take long to find lol.
Well I'm sticking to the footy, and while I appreciate the talent of Sinclair, he really does need to stop thinking about himself, and more of the team game, he's becoming very predictable on the left wing, would love to seem him look for the first pass, rather than getting cornered holding onto the ball to long, and then making a forced pass, with the momentum lost. I think both he and Graham have missed a pile of goals this season, and while it's to be expected to some degree, while adjusting to the Premiership standard, he should be up to speed by now!............. please log in to view this image
yes far to many chances missed by these two away from home that could possibly cost us in the end....i hope not but it could.......
Think you're far too harsh on Graham, but it's no surprise. The guy is class and has already shown that. We're a team that isn't blessed with creating double figure chances, and I can only think of one (the header) where he should have done better. DPJ: I think you're right about Sinclair being selfish though. He thinks he can waltz through three or more players successfully. Maybe in the Championship but not in the Prem. Bardsley was superb, fair play.
I don't think it's harsh to say that Graham and Sinclair have missed a pile of goals this season, because they have, I'm pleased with Graham though, and think that he can be even better with greater service, as his goal against Arsenal proves, it was a great pass from Sig, and he got on the end of it brilliantly, and we need Sinclair to focus on that kind of pass too!.................. please log in to view this image
dai, i believe you have been lying to everyone how you denied that you said graham was a poor player, not up to PL standards. on this thread: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...-2-4-players?p=1947065&viewfull=1#post1947065 you said:
graham has been fantastic at home and he has been great at holding the ball up away from home but thats where it stops, he is our main striker but away games he hardly takes a shot on target... when we changed the starting line up at villa we were brilliant and danny played great when he came on, the villa side did not know what hit them......when ever danny starts away from home we struggle to get shots at goal even though we are the better side on the day, its not as if its the odd away game as its every away game bar villa where we played a different starting line up.......coincidence or not i know what i think.....
But, look at the bigger picture......What postition would we be in had Danny Graham not scored the goals he has?
1/ Totally laughable...No team have beaten us by more than one goal so far this season. 2/ Downright lie..That just didn't happen...
What's laughable is you parking the double decker at home, your manager didn't have the confidence to let you play football against us, now did he! Hell Ivor you really got under the skins of these black kittens!..............
'Boo' is the wrong word. The home fans were definitely screaming at their players for not getting near the ball. I heard it on TV (saw the whole game on a feed) and my mate was there with the away support. He said the same thing.
It's been a strange and disappointing weekend for some teams, Swansea, Spurs and Arsenal, should have won this weekend, but they didn't, simply because they did not finish in front of goal!!........................... please log in to view this image
wrong game plan its as simple as that, you cannot play the way we play on home turf away from home, It simply dont work as teams can use their home advantage to nullify us. the only time it worked for us was at villa who the week before destroyed chelsea.........there is a massive pattern here if you look into it ......Its Brendans fault when it comes down to it picking a side that has failed us away from home time and time again......60+ % possession is a waste of time if you cant put away the numerous chances we get.....
'Screaming' encouragement at your team to close the opposition down is about as far from booing as you are going to get mate...To be honest, if you are content to watch your team pass the ball about in non-dangerous areas, good luck to you because you will need it.
Still haven't heard from you as to who you'd choose as your starting 11 if Rodgers got it so wrong. Enlighten us.
not my job its what brendan gets paid for......why would i pick a team???? we have the players start using them or we will find ourselves in trouble...we need some away points to be safe and even though we were the better side it is not working away from home. its there for everyone to see.....
In all honesty 1 away win against absolutly tremendous home form is strange to say the least, all the experts and media say the same. Its not that we are a poor team,we are not. I would be happy to not win away for the rest of the season if i knew we were definatly going to stay up but a few away wins would make things alot easier especially as we have man utd and liverpool for our last 2 games
who in the team has the most premier league experience ? could we do with a bit more ? £46m in the summer may help with that !
