Gun laws keep the American Govt ticking over with their population control agenda. It works a treat too so won't be changing. The higher ups are big on population control.

Charlie Hebdo (Paris) - 13 killed
Paris - 130 killed
Brussels - 32 killed
Nice - 84 killed
Berlin - 12 killed
Westminster - 4 killed
Stokholm - 4 killed
Manchester - 22 killed
London Bridge - 8 killed
Barcelona - 13 killed
Spain - 14 killed

and Europeans talk about America banning guns :)

Catalonia - 900 Civilians injured by police brutality, they didn't have guns to protect themselves <whistle>
US gun deaths this year: 11,686. Mass shooting deaths: 273.

If they insist on having shooters then they should be licenced simple as. Also semi automatic and automatic weapons should restricted to range use and held and licenced by gun clubs, as there's no reason whatsoever a citizen needs one of those in their home.
It's legal to own some semi-automatic firearms in the UK, IIRC.

All those terrorist attacks from Europe in recent years, yet all those totals combined equal about one weeks worth of gun related homicides in America.
And thats without terrorism from the Middle East, thats just domestic nutjobs.
Half a dozen countries, in one year, have had less gun deaths than the US in one week <ok>
Yeah I think the US are in a different league mate.
Europe is Wrexham, the US is Real Madrid.

To be fair to you, I do think it might be a modified semi-automatic rifle.

The shots sounded inconsistent in my opinion, although I'm not about to pretend I know much about guns.

A bloke in the live Reddit thread on the shooting was explaining something about a "bumper" which basically means the recoil of the gun means your finger hits the trigger at the right time to shoot quickly or like a "gat gun" attachment that reloads the gun and extremely high speed (he posted a YouTube video of someone achieving about 700 rpm with it on a semi-automatic rifle.
Here's a clip for anyone that wants to know how they work:

That guy in the first one is a mong. He sprays a full magazine, reloads, sprays another, and the bottles are still standing.

Has to fire off single rounds with his 3rd magazine just to finally get them.

Fully automatic weapons, from what I can gather (I have never fired one), are inaccurate as **** in full auto mode.
Its more spray and pray, unless you are firing in to a crowd, like our Vegas friend yesterday.
Trying to hit a single target, especially a small target like a bottle, in full auto mode is a bit daft to begin with. Even from that range it is so inaccurate.

Semi automatics are bad enough, in terms of accuracy unless you're an expert, as the recoil as you're constantly pressing the trigger means that you end up spraying them around a bit.

The shooter was a distance from the crowd so depending on how well he stabilised the weapons full auto probably helped minimize casualties.

A sniper with a single weapon shooting for an hour would have killed a lot more people than this guy with dozens of weapons.

I've seen a few of his videos and he's just ****ing around in that one. His aim's ridiculous.
He hits this bloody gong at about 80 yards with pistols.

Oh for sure, a sniper with a rifle shooting in to a crowd of 22,000 probably could have offed dozens of people before anyone even knew what was going on, if he was a semi decent shot.
