How do you know that?

From the video footage I have seen, and the several witness accounts I have read, this bears all the hallmarks of someone using, at most, a semi-automatic weapon (or a bolt-action rifle, if he's quick on the reload).

It was automatic gunfire HIAG. The rounds were popping off way to quickly for any semi-auto gun. Not sure where he got hold of those, but he'd amassed an arsenal of weaponry .

Claiming it could be a bolt action rifle that shot nearly 600 people in under 5 minutes has to be one of the less credible claims I've come across.

Put Sky news on there's clear footage of the firing and it's definitely an automatic rifle

I haven't had the chance to see that footage yet. I've seen some of the footage taken from someone in the crowd.

You sure the automatic fire isn't from the SWAT team or cops?

<doh>
Where did I claim that?

I'd already said that the bloke was clearly using a semi-auto rifle. You clearly know absolutely **** all about weapons. Go back to playing GTA, my friend.

Nah, he was on the 32 floor of the adjacent hotel, why the **** would they fire automatic weapons at a target they couldn't see from ground level.
They'd have wiped out other hotel guests on lots of other floors.<doh>
