I see they only use var when they want too
What’s the point of cherry picking incidents
Pointless

No consistency on what VAR reviews and no consistency in the outcome of decisions that actually go to VAR.

I’d 100% scrap it. If anything it would force referees to up their game as they are becoming lazy knowing fine well that VAR will take most of the flack for a crap decision.

Now when a referee misses a decision the usual response seems to be he wasn’t told by VAR that he should take another look. Or that VAR looked at it and deemed his decision correct. It’s shockingly bad.

I mean this is ridiculous

It was a pen
Var should have looked at it
That’s what var is for it appears they only like to use the laser in an off side decision
It’s not used correctly

Corrected the bold bit......just let the refs **** it up and we can all get on with our day and discuss it in the pub.

VAR, or it's equivalent, works well in the following Sports ---

CRICKET
TENNIS
RUGBY
RUGBY LEAGUE

So, WHY is it so riddled with contraversial decisions in Football?

PERHAPS, if the Video Assistants were told ONLY to look at 'clear and obvious errors that affected the Game', rather that offsides by a millmetre, things would be better.

It needs to be more consistent , players should have some responsibility in the var decisions ie as in cricket maybe, it could be used to stamp out the shirt pullers for instance IF it was used responsibly. Shirt pullers are more and more by the day and its ruining the game for teams that try to play football instead of the Coventry style kick and chase which the pundits seem to adore. Maybe we all should play like that.
