Everton have received an apology
Bet late now this var is still not used correctly
A farce your correctThey don't have tech to do all the things they claim they can do. Blurry " offside" lines, no certainty when the ball was played etc.
Nor are they committed properly to it. Done properly it might need maybe ten people all watching their own camera (not the match) and inform the ref immediately there is so something to look at.
But, as with football admin generally, there is no humility, no desire to learn the lessons of cricket and Rugby League who have adapted their systems over many years.
It is largely a farce, created by over paid blazers who have probably never played football or paid to watch it.

It’s a strange thing when after many minuets of examining the incident it now appears to be hand ballI'd want the ref and more specifically the idiot in the VAR van to explain why hand ball wasn't given whilst watching the video. Same with those boxing judges on Saturday.

Cricket had a 4k frames per second camera. You could literally see the bat bend when the ball hit it. For offside, have an “umpires call”. I.e. if it is within inches then go with on field decision. There are so many sensible ways it could be used. They don't have tech to do all the things they claim they can do. Blurry " offside" lines, no certainty when the ball was played etc.

The sooner they ditch this **** the better
Or even better, just get it right.
The other Sports that use TV to improve the decision making of the officials seem to have it cracked.
Tennis, Cricket, both Rugby codes manage without this regular incompetance.
Could the 'fault' not be with the system, or the over-complicated Rules but with the officials.
An opportunity to 'Fast Track' former players into the role of VAR Advisors might improve the situation, PROVIDING the Referees will listen to them.
Nah, get rid. Even if they get it right, for supporters, watching from inside the stadium particularly, having to bottle up the ecstasy and emotion of their team scoring a goal, only to be able to fully release it once the game restarts, which by then the shear ecstasy and emotion has been diluted somewhat? All this whilst somebody draws imaginary lines across the pitch, sitting in an office somewhere, taking the drama off of the pitch, away from the supporters? As a spectacle it is making football less enjoyable, especially for those inside the stadium.
Is it right, because the bindippers and manure do not have screens for the fans to see, no other grounds can show the VAR replays?

This rule needs scrapped where a player in an offside position can be onside via a deflection that goes to them. The linesmen have been told not to put their flags up until the phase of play has finished. It's too much of a grey area for defenders so they have to go for the ball with players like Salah on their shoulders. If the linesman had flagged mo salah offside like it’s his job to do
The defender would not of headed it because he was off side
However the linesman never flagged so the defender had to go for the header
Var is not working
The officials are not officiating there leaving it to tv evidence them making there own rules to work around the incedent
