Obvs just a training match, but still interesting that Ikindileni started, maybe not just going to be part of development squad? Sounds like Adamson played well, does he push Dunne for the RB position?

Don’t see the game but a little disappointed that neither Kelman nor Celar scored.
It doesn't always work out like that... Just because they didn't score, doesn't mean they were playing badly. Sometimes it's just where the ball lands.

Kelmann was very involved, looked strong in holding off players, provided an assist, and overall looks like a player who is confident and believes in himself.

With Kelmann, imagine he wasn't already ours and I made a rumour he was coming to us, saying that he scored 27 goals for a league 1 club at age 23, and looked like a very good player against Man City in the cup. You'd be biting my hand off for him.

Celar looked similar, actually. He made things happen, held up the ball, looked strong, had a few shots and made the keeper and defenders work.

The second half was harder for us as the weather was getting bad and Stevenage seemed to put out a better, more solid 11 in the 2nd half. They were harder to break down.

So no one fancied jumping in and pinching Stevenage's trialist that they had at the back .

Hes a free agent so wouldn't cost us much.

His name is something like Kakay or something.

Worth a punt????

Good luck to Kakay, always tried.
Was surprised he didn't go to a Div 1 or 2 club when he left us.

Wouldn’t read too much into the match which was a more intensive training session. However, there were several positive signs which show genuine promise for the incoming new season.

Am starting to look forward to the start of new season.

I remember losing 4 nil to Oxford in a " preseason training session ".

I am happier than I was then!

In 1967 as Division Three Champions my Dad brought me to Oxford United for an anticipated Coronation, we played horribly and lost, even though on paper we fielded a great team. "after the Lord Mayor's show........" as Dad always used to say. Another one of his sayings, applied to cards, was "if you haven't got the cards, you can't play", which I guess could also be applied to football teams!
