Rory McIlroy got a £156million deal after winning a couple of tournaments. For years the highest earner in golf was someone who had never won a major. The lines of Palmer and Nicklaus made more on the veterans tour after "retiring". I doubt if any footballers have the bank balances of the biggest earning golfers.

Is that more than one daughter? Or is your apostrophe key not working again? Or cant(sic) you say?

Make the most of it. A few more years and you will be the enemy, the ogre who stops her doing just what she wants.

Don't worry, you'll be a goodie again once you start paying the deposit etc. For her house.

Will be interesting to see a comparative list of the top earning golfers and footballers and how many of them there are, I am just assuming that there would be a lot more footballers earning vast amounts and more golfers scratching a living rather than taking big bucks

There are far more well paid footballers than golfers, though there's a few golfers high up the list...

Thanks, will have a look. Jason Day made a remarkable comeback over the back 9 and now is tied for the lead, looked really sick throughout, will be one of the great sporting achievements if he wins the US Open in this condition

I haven't got any daughters. Just a pair of Sheridans (if you are familiar with Mrs ?Bucket)
Poor old Suh. Only $400,000 in endorsements. Still the pain will lessened by his $38million salary.
Surprised to see how little Lewis Hamilton receives in endorsements compared to some others on there.

I hope that you ****ing enjoyed it.

    I really do.

My eldest posted my card at lunch time yesterday and then texted this morning blaming the Queen for not delivering on a Sunday.

My youngest rang me to say that she had a card and could bring it over but she had a hangover having being on a hen weekend and she'd rather not.

I'd give me right bollock for a trifle made with Love.

    I really would.

    They're all the same.

Ultimately a disappointment to us all.

You give birth to them with such high hopes and then they turn on you with the sharp tongues and the forgetting and the lifts home and the unsecured loans and the bail conditions and the forgotten appreciaton on contrived Hallmark invented recognition days.

    Bastards to a man.

    And woman.

My eldest video messaged me from Amsterdam, even though she was clearly a bit hungover having spent the night at a house party in the middle of 'Dam that had been that loud the Police had turned up ( quite impressive in relaxedville I thought )
Then my youngest came round with presents ...and beer

Very pleasant day ( although a trifle would have been nice as well )

These kids are all the same.
    11:00 this morning.
Son: "Dad, what you up to today ?"
Me: " Of to the game (I manage an old timers football team), and spending the rest of the day watching the US Open".
Son: "Dad, can you lend me $40 ?"
Me: " What you want $40 for ?"
Son: " I need $3 for the subway to go see mum - I'm having dinner at her place tonight".
Me: "What's the other $37 bucks for ?"
Son: "I thought I'd buy mum some flowers, I forgot her birthday." ...(that was in February !!).
Me: " You can have $3 for the train, that's all. Why don't to stay with her for a week ?"

No ****ing mention of father's day. The bastard. He's only 35, maybe someday.

The final round of the open was a treat btw, except when Spieth gave his old man a big hug & mentioned father's day. wtf

Painful end to a great tournament for me having backed Johnson then watch him miss an eagle for the win and a birdie to make the play-off. Spieth is one of those who is super solid in his game, to win the Masters then the US Open in quick succession is phenomenal for a 21 year old, a sporting great already
