Nothing new has happened. It is still 253/264 to 214.

Arizona has been weirdly covered though, Fox News among some other outlets has it down as a Biden win already, and some haven't called it yet.

Politically Arizona is best known as the home of the late Senator John McCain, the Republican giant so loathed by the President that Trump once sneered at McCain’s war record.

“He’s not a war hero,” said Trump, who avoided the draft claiming bone spurs. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” McCain was shot down over North Vietnam and refused an offer of early release to remain with other POWs.

McCain's Republican wife voted for Biden. Can you blame her?

In comparison, Trump cites former President Andrew Jackson as one of his heroes. Wonder if he knows that he was a POW in the American Civil War.

Or George Washington even, who was captured in by the French during the French and Indian War.

Trump's stance on anything military-related is ****ing rich, the draft-dodging arse.

I still love that he had Fortunate Son by CCR as his campaign song for a while. The absolute irony.

and the irony is
if trump won arizona, he'd be president
trump insulting an american war hero has caused the democrats to win arizona for the second time since 1948
the last time democrats won arizona was 1996
and before that 1948
arizona has only been democrat 8 times since 1912 and four of those times were under the legendary franklin d roosevelt
trump losing arizona is an absolute disaster for him
and the double irony is, trump got out of vietnam, he shoulda been there, so should biden
but its trump that lose himself the heavy republican state

95% of his time he was looking down reading a peice of paper, none of his usual 'swagger' and confidence
he knows hes beat, he is just clutching at straws to delay the inevitable

someone can check the sums. how accurate is that 95%?

see, according to those numbers, the total number of votes cast that they're expecting to count is

100x(1482251+1365873)/(51.3+47.2)/0.95

with some degree of error. which i get to 3043680 plus or minus something. about 15k.

but later

which gives an expected total of

100x(1630389+1609879)/((49.4+48.8)*0.99)

which is 3332992 give or take about 16.5k

which is 289311 more than the previous expected total. don't they know? weren't this extra 289k expected?

Not so - current solid electoral votes given to Biden are 253 ( note that Fox News has it at 264 because it called Arizona for Biden at least a day or so ago). So give that to Trump. Biden wins if he gets Georgia which takes him to 269 or Pennsylvania which takes him to 273 which is above the 270 votes needed.

The interesting scenario is if Biden wins Georgia and Trump wins all the other states in doubt, Trump will also finish with 269. So who wins then?

Answer: Result decided by the House of Representatives, currently in the hands of the Democrats.
