    It always was divided, in a system where one party always loses and must accept defeat.

    How can it not be divided? There's a winner and a loser.

    It's how well the losers accept defeat and stop bleating on about it...

    Your missing the point, almost certainly deliberately.

    This election has divided the US more than almost any other, that's why everyone is reporting it as 'divided America'. The population of the US don't normally buy new guns and board up their shops, just because there's an election on.

    It's the people who dislike their elected Presdent who are bitter, angry and feeling unhappy.

    They are the ones who fuel the 'divided' trope.

    When Obama was POTUS, millions felt the same, hence Trump got voted in.

    Trump is now claiming fraud, as in some states he was ahead until they counted all the votes and Biden ended up with more.

    Nearly as funny as when he claimed global warming was obviously a myth, as it was snowing outside.
