So what's the deal with this 2nd impeachment?

Will he be going to court? What's the process and possible outcome/s?

Anyone think it's all gonna kick off again before that?

Morning btw
Same as last time, probably. A couple of extra Republicans will join Romney in voting for it, but they need quite a lot. 17, I think?
There's some suggestion that McConnell's pissed off and he'll get a load of them to back it, but I can't see it.
They'd be drawing a heavy line under Trump and he's got too many followers. It's too risky. They don't want a Trump party, even if he couldn't lead it.

Don't know about the impeachement, but regards it kicking off again. They've just up the security around the Capitol building even more, by shutting down the entire mall. They've already got more or less an army already camped in there, so they must be seriously worried. I think all tube stations are being closed as well. You might as well say the whole area is in a lockdown for the inauguration.

They should be worried like tbf most of America is armed.

I see all the soldiers sleeping in the building on the news, never thought I'd see this kinda **** from the yanks in my life tbh and I really don't rate em much anyway but this has even surprised me<laugh>

I think that they know a lot more about what happened the first time than what's being released to the public.
Some of the rioters had inside help and information.
Specific offices and politicians were targeted and had their alarm systems removed before it happened.

It's basically got through the first bit, which is meaningless and now it gets voted on by the Senators and needs a 2/3rds majority.
That would require a bunch of Republicans to vote to remove Trump and they probably won't.
If it did happen, then he'd be barred from standing for political office again and booted out of the Presidency a few days early.

****er is carrying over $1bn of debt.

Time to call it in.

He’s got over $400m of personal loans due for repayment this year, plus the $90m tax refund case that’s been hanging over him since before he took office.

Then there’s the libel suits he’s almost certainly got coming, first in the queue - Dominion.

His leaked tax returns opened the door on his financial position, the man isn’t worth the $10BN he claimed before he was elected. The reality is that based on the value of his assets minus his current debt, he’s worth somewhere between $1-2BN net. He’d become little more than a brand before he got into politics. He doesn’t own all of the Trump buildings around the globe, he has varied levels of equity stake in them.

Here’s an insight into the bullshitter that is Trump, from when he lied to Forbes 35 years ago,

Ooo thats interesting, if someone's done **** like turning off alarms from the inside and passing info they should throw the book at em really.

I watched this thing called cobra last night, country in crisis kinda **** in short but was chatting with the mrs about how I don't think over here it would get as far as people storming parliament as I think as people were all too apathetic towards the **** the government constantly pulls on us.

So in a way I admire what's happened over there a bit. Dunno maybe it's just the anarchist in me but the populations of all countries should stand up a bit more for themselves.

Not maybe by stroming buildings... but Yeh maybe by storming buildings if ya know what I mean<laugh>

Trump has now said that Pence will go down in history as a pussy because he did not back Trump over the "demonstration"
Virtually admitted it was an attempted coup
Nowhere for him to go now he has finally destroyed himself and his family

Oh so the end goal is so trump can't ever run again basically?

Welk they must be quite worried about what he's stirred up over there if that's the case.

Thing is making a martyr of him could be worse.

Wait until his attempts to subvert the armed forces comes out via the FBI.

I’m still fully expecting him to pardon ALL of his fellow villains and family before he goes, then resign and get Pence to pardon him, as he’s been told the self pardon won’t wash.

The French approach. **** **** up and burn some stuff, if the government take the piss. Yeah, get what you're saying.
We roll over and take it over here far too much.

The Americans have gone down a similar road to us, though. There's a lot of pissed off people over there that want an outlet.
They grabbed onto any old **** that an old, orange conman chucked out, because they liked it and hated losing the election.
A lot of them have heard that the Democrats are baby-eating, communist Satanists. They don't want that running the country.

The problem is, what was it 73 million people voted for Trump. To put that into perspective, that's more people than the whole of the UK. So it don't really matter what people in this country might think of his supporters, it's like everyone of our citizens voting Trump and more, that therefore, will take in every nut job and extremist going. In a country where it's citizens are armed. A lot of Rebulicans believe the election was stolen, and no one is going to persuade them differently. I think all this impeachement is doing is stirring up bad feeling, it's all well and good holding Trump to account, but at what cost, but nothing could stop Nancy Pelosi, the very same woman that said impeachment was off the table againt Bush, over the weapons of mass destruction.

It also costs him various presidential benefits, including cash and protection.
It's just the start. There's a lot of legal issues coming for him. I think he'll do a bunk.

Large numbers of people were mobbed up outside Parliament over here on a permanent basis, for about 4 years. MPs were threatened, menaced and boo'ed on their way in to work. A Labour MP (Jo Cox) was murdered by a far right lunatic in 2016.

Did you not notice any of that? Perhaps when it all comes out on Netflix, eh?

Its all fuked mate.

The way our politics has started to mirror the reality show style of the yanks politics the last 10 years or so, maybe more. is actually worrying for loads of reasons.

But you know what I think anyway. So I stay away from it as much as I can cos all of it just disappoints me and eventually makes me angry so **** it. :emoticon-0148-yes:
