I don’t think he’ll ever concede tbh, his narcissism won’t allow him to believe he’s lost, so he’ll take it to the grave imo. He’ll leave the Whitehouse but he’ll do so whilst still claiming he’s been robbed.

I saw reports today that he was intending doing some rallies to whip up is MAGA base with bogus tales of vote rigging. If he does attempt this, it needs to be quashed as it’s extremely dangerous incitement and he’d become a genuine internal security risk.
I agree with practically all that, mate, apart from the conceding bit, of course. He just needs to hold his hands up, say well done and leave.

I still think he'll be pressured into conceding. My thoughts are it will be at the point his lawyers tell him there's no case and nowhere else to go with it.

It's utter cringe no doubt it. Did you see the look on the faces of her fellow white revellers when she said that ****. That lot are no different to the blokes who arrived tooled up in that Sky video. Some dumb fck americans about.
I watched a video of blokes walking down what looked like the local high street armed to the back teeth with automatic rifles and handguns stuck down their waists. I've seen battalions less armed. Ridiculous you can see that in the supposed most advanced and leading country in the world.

Both sides on the extreme right and extreme left are clearly itching for trouble. I don't think the extreme left would get past burning, rioting and looting. Maybe a few murders as collateral damage along the way if they proper kick off first, whereas I worry if the right kick off it could turn into the OK Corral.

I really hope he does mate, as if he doesn’t his base will continue to bubble. If he comes out and says they’ve looked at everything and it is what it is, then it’ll arguably be his finest hour, and it’ll help calm things done over there. But I just can’t see it due to his obvious and extreme narcissism.

What's troubling is there's equal weighting on both sides. 70m turned out for Trump, fcking hell that's huge. I said to Diego a week ago the outcome I was hoping for from this election was a return to unity, some calming down of the hate and divisions. But the election's over and from what I'm seeing these divisions aren'tt going to simply die with Trump losing.

The country is beyond that. I have a horrible feeling this has to be played out. They have to go through the worst imaginable to come out the other side. I think there'll be a lot more death and destruction before this is anywhere near over and the country reconciles itself.

America, the most powerful nation in the world in 2020 ffs!

I'm still waiting to see how Hillary Clinton manages to get back in <laugh>

I'm piss myself to death laughing if that happened

President Harris will be picking a VP within a year tho. Biden is a walking cabbage
Pelosi's talk about the 25th amendment was not about Trump, she said so herself
Someone on 5live was to some American political journo the other day(****ed if i know who), the 5live lad asked if Biden has to stand down in one or two years would his replacement still get a crack at two full terms after making him the first 10 year POTUS.
The Yank said "wow, great question. I will have to go study up on that one because i have never been asked it before"

If you've served more than 2 years, its considered a term. They decided that when they put terms in place in 51, 22nd amendment

So if Harris replaces Biden next year, she gets one more term n no more

But what if she replaces him at the end of his second year?

oh and FDR served 3 terms and 80 something days, he got elected for a 4th but we know how that went so it has happened before, just not when limits existed

If she does 2 years or less in that term, then yes she can go for another 2

I can only think he has such huge support still, because he plays the patriot card. For me he broke the rules of patriotism when he turned the troops on his own people, for me, that was the most damning thing ever, even his own defence secretary spoke out against it. That changed the whole situation for me from being patriort to being a tyrant dictator. He would argue it was because of the rioting on the streets, and although I get that, his job as a president is to listen, he didn't listen hence a break down in law and order commenced. He is so devisive it could create a civil war, but for me it would feel more like a race war, because America clearly has some very deep issues.

the guy answering on the radio must have been a gobshite, not a political hack:D I'd think that it was not uncommon knowledge and that question I bet has been asked 100s of millions of times in the past 20 years
as in asked like this "Does a partial term as president count as one term", then its an easy answer

the way it was asked in your quote, is a long way of asking a simple question

The answer is no. The only exception was Truman, as the amendment was brought in after he'd already served two years of fdr's term, and that would be three by '48. So if Joe is incapacitated within two years, she'd only be allowed to serve one more. Truman never ran in the '52 election, btw, but that was by choice.

I just googled the question you had in your quote but asked in a different way "does a half term count" was all I looked up and boom top link<laugh>

they put it to him in a convoluted way " if Biden has to stand down in one or two years would his replacement still get a crack at two full terms after making him the first 10 year POTUS."

and its not first 10 year potus either

tho, if he couldn't answer that question, he has no business posing as any sort of political geek or expert, that's for sure.

10s of millions of American citizens would answer that off the top of their heads and any fan of the constitution too would also know
