That's the brain stem overriding the frontal lobe. It has to be actively resisted. Stopping and reflecting is how you do it, honest reflection.

I'm not perfect obviously, and when I notice it happening, I step away from the issue and think (I dont always see it happening, at least not as soon as I'd like to realise its happening)

Brain evolution takes 100s of thousands of years.
We're not evolved in the right way to deal with non face to face communication as a species in matters that tap into brain stem responses
You'll find only the most sharpest minds of people who are very high in conscientiousness can do this all the time. Great scholars, academic thinkers and philosophers, and the geniuses out there who all think very differently to the rest of us.
The rest of us to varying degrees, go online and allow the primitive parts of our brain to **** everything up.
