We're entitled to our opinions no matter what anyone says, we're not entitled to our own objective facts, and they (objective facts) must be established even if someone you disagree with doesn't want accept them, that doesn't change anything. 2020 tho, as we've seen on this very thread, is a post objective fact year, such are the complete falsehoods posted non stop on this thread

What has always fascinated me with the general modus of this board, is that most seem to forget that this is a forum for the discussion of opinions. It isn’t “the presentation of absolute fact” board, or the “only post a view that corresponds with that of the Commandant” board.

See, I’ve always taken it as a given that when one posts a comment on this board that it is understood to be the expression of an opinion, not the announcement of an indisputable and inalienable fact.

How many many times do we see the foolish cry of “show me proof!” I haven’t read all the posts on here, but I am willing to bet that there are such cries from the more cerebrally challenged among us. Am I right?

Now, I’m not saying that I haven’t used this tendency for literalism among some posters to my own wum advantage - because I have ripped the piss to point of it being a turkey shoot - but it does, nonetheless, sadden me that this place is not more generally enlightened.

It isn't a place where you can spout ridiculous 'opinions' without everyone else pulling them apart. If you want that, start a diary like a teenage girl.

You (and I sometimes) need to extricate yourself from the to and fro on here in general. Its akin to screaming into the ether. :D

Ignore people that draw you into the to and fro, or just refuse to be drawn into it, or, don't post something if you know its going to get you into a fruitless post for post bullshit session with people who's primary aim is to shoot you down rather than rationally point out, without derision, where you are going wrong


After all, we can post in detail why someone is wrong, without all the manic laughy faces and derision. :)
