Must admit, I wary about the victory dance on CNN and CNBC about the polls. Only Van Jones, tbh, seems to be cautioning everyone that it's not all over. They've had that poll from Iowa showing Trump 7+ for a start, and both one Michigan Democrat canvasser and an official from Pennsylvania has told of the undercurrent of on-the-day-voters ready to flock back to Trump.
My prediction is that Biden has no chance in Texas, Georgia or NC, Florida and Arizona will stay red, and while he'll win back Wisconcin and Michigan, Trump will bombard Pennsylvania with legal writs that'll end up in a fixed Supreme Court, and that was always the rush to get Barrett in there. And Biden will need Pennsylvania.
Christ I hope I'm wrong, but I was right in 2016 that he'd win it, and I was right about the Brexit referendum. If polls are below 8% nowadays, they're just to close to call. That was the case in 2017 too.
Btw, as was pointed out by a former Republican lawyer on CNN last night, is it any coincidence that every GOP lawsuit so far (including a ****ing bizarre one regarding drive-in voting in Texas), is about suppressing and denying voting opportunities. The prick is shameless).

The sheer number of early and postal votes is unprecedented. The on the day voters will be more likely to be Republican but the predictions are that he’d need a turnout on the day of at least 7% higher than last time to have any chance, which given the volume of early votes makes that highly unlikely.
There’s already been 40 attempts to remove people’s Democratic votes, and there’ll likely be more to follow, but it’ll depend on just how far he’s behind when the bulk of the results come in. If it’s close this could drag on for weeks, but my personal view is that it won’t be, and the attempts to subvert democracy will prove futile.
The polls can never fully be relied upon, but the sheer volume of them this time round and the changes they’ve made since 2016 makes them a reliable indicator imo. Biden is guaranteed to win the popular vote, by a good chunk more than the 3M Clinton managed, the only question is whether the split of that vote will be what he needs.
