Upgrading server.....warning! Update please read

Hi Guys and Gals
Have just had a heads up to warn that the owners are once again upgrading the server over the next 3/4 nights. This could mean that prior to the final fixing we could see some "teething problems" ETC. The owners ask for your patience over this maintenance period and have promised to conclude ASAP.

The server has been upgraded there have been a few issues listed by other mods. If any of you are experiencing any odd experiences can you pm me please.

Apparently not...although it is still a future possibility.........To do what your asking for the whole Forum would apparently require a much more powerful type server or some such. While the whole site is still growing at a good rate we are not yet at a level to require any where near that powerful a server. With the type we have and are going to have, our present capabilities is about as good as it will get is my understanding for the time being.

Bloody Nora....never thought of that..........Sorry people.......I will find a different way of undressing you then......... Sorry about that......just couldn't resist <laugh> Seriously though don't take offense people.........it wasn't funny for some I really do understand. A pity he wasn't alive for justice for his victims.......He had a lot to answer for.
Will change my wording for the future not so sure I can do much for my sense of humour though.......<laugh>

Ok that gives you a clue......but lets move on to deadline day there will be treble that just trying to get onto the saints board with out those already on. In fact at one stage nearly 700 additionals were trying just before the big slow down in the summer. So he wants the larger server to accomoodate as many as possible this time round but even with that sort of numbers it is going to be a stretch. Although we should be ok down here but some of the other boards oh boy.............

It appears that the new server is creating multiple posts, a timer keeps kicking in saying you can't post for 30 seconds, when you haven't actually posted at all.
 
I am seeing that as well.

Could we also downgrade the server to when we still had Sir Nigel Adkins as manager?

Sorry Folks Yes those issues have been already raised too As for the manager issue we are getting no sympathy from the other mods they are rubbing their hands and saying things like "three easy Points coming up".
 
Yeah, this is actually the real reason for the upgrade. The powers that be saw this news coming, realised that the Saints board would be put into overdrive, and so went ahead with a full blown upgrade to try and handle the situation.

The duplication of posts is annoying, I agree.
