I have no idea about the trade unions I'll admit, I'm too young for it, so I can't argue with that one. I don't think those who are left-leaning these days should be accountable for the actions of those 50 years ago though. I'd love to know what you know about Marxism though. I reckon 99% of those who claim Marxism is 'evil' or the like have never even read The Communist Manifesto or anything about him. You wouldn't be one of those guys would you?
Not very ecouraging to read this at a first glance ~ Karl Marx Was a Pretty Bad Person For instance, in an 1862 letter to Frederick Engels, Marx described leading nineteenth-century German socialist, Ferdinand Lassalle, in the following way: The Jewish ****** Lassalle ... fortunately departs at the end of this week ... It is now absolutely clear to me that, as both the shape of his head and his hair texture shows – he descends from the Negros who joined Moses’ flight from Egypt (unless his mother or grandmother on the paternal side hybridized with a ******). Now this combination of Germanness and Jewishness with a primarily Negro substance creates a strange product. The pushiness of the fellow is also ******-like. Here is Marx’s conception of the Jewish mind in nineteenth century Europe, from his essay "On the Jewish Question" (1844): What is the secular basis of Judaism? Practical need, self-interest. What is the worldly cult of the Jew? Haggling. What is his worldly god? Money! ... Money is the jealous god of Israel before whom no other god may exist. Money degrades all the gods of mankind and converts them into commodities ... What is contained abstractly in the Jewish religion – contempt for theory, for art, for history, for man as an end in himself ... The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Jewishness. https://www.intellectualtakeout.org/blog/karl-marx-was-pretty-bad-person/
Yes. I have read books by Engels and Marx and anarchists like Kropotkin, but also arch capitalist Milton Freedman. I favour workers ownership of businesses (some). I favour state ownership of utilities. However I feel that should be within capitalist society. Communism has not worked successfully in any Country, it has turned more murderous than Hitler. That does not mean the political system is evil, it can mean human beings are not developed enough to make it successful. Humans are flawed. Capitalism x democracy with Liberal values is the best system, the most peaceful system humanity has created. BLM have an anti position on capitalism. A Marxist one.
22 Policemen were injured last night in Brixton. All because they tried to break up a street rave. One black man blamed the police 'who brought THEIR laws' to Brixton. The BLM organisation are succeeding in destabilising society. I for one, feel more angst towards the BAME community. Is that racism or do I just support the rule of law.
It depends if you feel more angst towards the White community for this 'Two women, both 21, who attacked police 'and threatened to infect them with Covid-19' as officers tried to shut down their lockdown-breaking house party are jailed Two women who attacked police at a lockdown house party have been jailed, following a physical altercation which saw an officer threatened with the possible transfer of coronavirus. Officers found blaring noise and drunk partygoers when they arrived at some flats in Eastbourne, East Sussex, in April. But when they tried to break up the gathering, things turned violent, with one woman telling an officer: 'I have got corona, watch out
Who said 'whataboutism is always good counter argument. Well played.' If you want to equate 2 women with the events in Brixton last night and the BLM movement that's your call. I won't and will call it how it is.
Well I wasn't the one who started it So no angst towards white people then? Unless you can explain the difference between a lockdown party in Brixton and a lockdown party in Eastbourne I think that probably makes you a racist
A party v hundreds and events of thousands nationwide. That is moral equivalence. It is flawed. What the poster supports is that behaviour and protests that can be linked to BLM are an antecedent to a chain of logical linked events. BLM individually/collectively by defying social norms, emboldens other to do likewise. The poster and others predicted that would occur.
trump has blimey Rob just where do you get your checking from, admittedly one or 2 very small factions from 1 person to a couple/very few have made an open protest but no violence damage to property looting or taking away peoples livlihoods it is like comparing a mass 50 times greater than the HAJJ with a crowd on a wet sunday watching a 7th league football game …. an argument when you put it forward should have balance comparing what you believe with an opposite of equal standing... IN THE MAIN AGREE...… ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL …. I believe All Lives Matter … not a just a chosen few [ last creature I saved ….a caterpillar from being walked on ]

I believe All Lives Matter … not a just a chosen few [ last creature I saved ….a caterpillar from being walked on ]
Exactly there is no difference so while does RP feel more angst towards the BAME community because of the party in Brixton than he does to the white community for the party in Eastbourne?

Click to expand... trump has Unfortunately America's judicial system is a lot less tolerant of such crimes that our liberal thinking namby pamby approach. Any custodial sentences handed out here will probably be, unfortunately, very short, unless they can prove harm to a Police officer. Then the courts might hand out something more appropriate.
civil disobedience has become more likely due to this black lives matter campaign. Its being fed that we are all racist, society is racist, fight back and black lives matter is anti police.
don't know what [. means ??? and Engels and and there is Che Guevara the big left wing iconic freedom fighting hero.. but it's not racism like Churchill or Rhodes .. yes it ****ing is!!
I completely agree with this, and wasn't referencing Marxism as something I'd support. I just find a lot of people I know who love to **** on it on social media are the exact sorts of people who barely read about anything, let alone about the works of Karl Marx. They're just repeaters.
