...happy with our points but....we hold two league records so far , most amount of time spent in the defensive zone and least ampunt of time in the attack zone
Only Aston Villa has less shots per game than us and only Hull , Leicester and Burnley allow more shots than we do per game .
Hope we get things ""Flowing"" for us soon or time may catch up with our good fortune so far.
Like I say , love the points , but concerned as hell .

Sousa's team had possession , we seem to be losing our grip on it. Not sure Sousa would play the way he did if he had Bony. We will eventually run into trouble if these stats continue yankee.

It's amazing how much time some 'fans' seem to find to 'indirectly' put our manager/team down!!

Table is not lying & with a bit of better refereeing would be even better...

Nowhere near as "much time" as "some fan's" directly, not "indirectly", have spent in putting his predecessor "down".

"Table is not lying". Presumably, the stats aren't either, and there's no harm being done in discussing them.

2nd in clean sheets and goals conceded, 5th best home form, 5th best win ratio. Yep, all the stats are really going against us

Well I personally think it's the opposite...

As some fans are continually finding stats & other issues to put Monk & the team down, it's leading to other fans feeling the need to defend them, because after-all, he's our Manager now, not Laudrup. It's an ever increasing 'vicious circle' of ridiculous bitching. It's pathetic & I truly believe some 'fans' are determined for Monk to fail, so 'we told you so' can unfold!!

Just for the record, I didn't feel comfortable with a footballing legend of the stature of Laudrup getting sacked by our club. But as I posted at the time, I felt it was needed & I think we were on a constant downward spiral under him!! Do most of us slag him, I don't really think so, it's just from the back-end of the 12-13 season until his sacking, apart from some tremendous results, we we're losing our way under him. I've supported every manager, with very few exceptions, that's guided our team & Monk is now part of that fact too!! So like most reasoned fans, find it hard to see the constant criticism he's getting..

"Just for the record",I also "didn't feel comfortable" when Laudrup was sacked, however inevitable it had become.
The way in which he was treated, both by the Club, and some on here, left a sour taste in my mouth.
Still does, but as you say,he has gone.

I'm not sure that Monk and the team are being excessively criticised,or continually being put down.
Do you not accept that fans' have opinions, points of view, etc.,which may not comply with yours?
Are those opinions to be silenced lest they offend the sensitivities of some?
It will be a sad day should that become the norm, although it has been attempted on several occasions by excessive, overbearing modding.

"Most reasoned fans" would surely encompass open discussion.
It's called democracy.
Perhaps you feel democracy, and football Forums, are not compatible.

It really doesn't take much time at all when not only data, as it is, stares you in the face, but difference between past and present in the data is not subtle at all.

The club's apparent motive for the removal of the last manager was a return to the "Swansea Way" without actually defining what that was (ambiguity is always helpful). i just didnt realize it was playing boot it to nowhere football, cheaply losing possession, and an ambition to join Stoke at the top of the dirty team league while yelling out of the other side of our mouth about poor officiating,

see, this post didnt take any time at all.

It's usually started by Monk supporters writing about how he's doing a great job then either comparing him with Laudrup or challenging the Monk 'haters'.

The comparison with Sousa is tiring - Sousa had no strike force, little backing from the board, a rebel in the camp (?) and a team that had to be taught to defend; Roberto we would shut our eyes when the opposition had a corner! Sousa had us keep possession and it was boring at times but it wore down the opposition and reduced theai chances on goal ... he didn't have a multi million pound attack force that Brendon, Laudrup and Monk have.
Given the free scoring performances of his teams post Leicester I've have him back tomorrow.

"Given the free scoring performances of his teams post Leicester I've have him back tomorrow."

So is this case that you want Monk out irrespective of possibly how well he might perform?? Who mentioned Sousa too??!!

Didnt hunt for anything flyer , just the facts. You want to pretend these facts are non existant...fill your boots..If we dont work on getting these stats turned around we will be in trouble ... .i thought only Laudrup'S name couldnt be mentioned around here , I guess Sousa's cant either ... someone brought Sousa up and I answered .

LIB..

"The way in which he was treated, both by the Club, and some on here, left a sour taste in my mouth."

Most fans have wanted to move on, because as you agreed, he's gone. So if our current manager has done any good things & the one's that 'have' moved on, have rejoiced in it, you can see the resentment of the one's aggreived by Laudrup's removal from the club. It's continually plain to see!! They don't seem to want to accept any forward progress under the current manager. Even on threads not directly related to performances, there are snidey posts/comments over Monk. It's effin tiring mate, that's what probably get's the back-up of the 'reasoned fans', not the all-out Monk backers!! It's like, give the guy a chance ffs...

Also, don't presume I don't accept that fans' have opinions, points of view etc, which may not comply with mine. I don't always agree with my own Swans' following mates. But one thing for certain, we're always united in getting behind the current manager & the team. Doesn't mean we won't slag his faults, but we'll discuss how he'll possibly move on from them, than basically just want/wait for him to fail. Looks like we must be having 'democratic' discussions after-all...

33 Percent possession against Everton , 11 corner kicks for Everton and none for us .Im genuinely worried about all these worrying FACTS , Im genuinely happy with our points, but we better get our **** together .Villa won theyre first 3 games , but bad play caught up to them , lets hope we get our game back together or we keep getting "" lucky"" all season within the ""non Swansea way""

Roof, you could pick holes in a fishing net. Who cares, stop whinging

Shake a leg stump , something stuck to your foot .well if guys like you and flyer are happy with our way of play , fine .Some might want to discuss the reality that our game is travelling instead of buring theyre heads. So these FACTS dont mean anythingI guess,
