Come on Roof, you're always ultra negative, but even by your standards, this post is completely ludicrous.
33 Percent possession against Everton , 11 corner kicks for Everton and none for us .Im genuinely worried about all these worrying FACTS , Im genuinely happy with our points, but we better get our **** together .Villa won theyre first 3 games , but bad play caught up to them , lets hope we get our game back together or we keep getting "" lucky"" all season within the ""non Swansea way""
Worst in the league for being in the attack ,worst in the league spending time in defend mode and you just want to march through it ...like usual campi.Hey , if your happy ...congrats.Im worried and will continue to worry till these very , vwry important stats are turned around .A lot of comfort has been built around our first 3 games.....
"Just for the record",I also "didn't feel comfortable" when Laudrup was sacked, however inevitable it had become.
The way in which he was treated, both by the Club, and some on here, left a sour taste in my mouth.
Still does, but as you say,he has gone.
I'm not sure that Monk and the team are being excessively criticised,or continually being put down.
Do you not accept that fans' have opinions, points of view, etc.,which may not comply with yours?
Are those opinions to be silenced lest they offend the sensitivities of some?
It will be a sad day should that become the norm, although it has been attempted on several occasions by excessive, overbearing modding.
"Most reasoned fans" would surely encompass open discussion.
It's called democracy.
Perhaps you feel democracy, and football Forums, are not compatible.
Most fans have wanted to move on, because as you agreed, he's gone. So if our current manager has done any good things & the one's that 'have' moved on, have rejoiced in it, you can see the resentment of the one's aggreived by Laudrup's removal from the club. It's continually plain to see!! They don't seem to want to accept any forward progress under the current manager. Even on threads not directly related to performances, there are snidey posts/comments over Monk. It's effin tiring mate, that's what probably get's the back-up of the 'reasoned fans', not the all-out Monk backers!! It's like, give the guy a chance ffs...
Vetch if you don't like the way the board is modded step up to the plate sunshine and you can take my place. Your opinion on this however is utter nonsense as everyone kniws that myself and swanselona have been on opposite sides of the monk v laudrup debate from day one.[/QUOTE
"step up to the plate...take my place"
I have declined numerous approaches to become a mod on this Forum.
I would sooner dig trenches in rocky soil using only a toothpick.
"if you don't like the way the board is modded"
Now where did I say that?
What I don't like, and have had recourse to repeat myself, is when you have tried to impose your will on the subject being discussed,i.e. Laudrup, viz,"We have debated this often enough".
You have even been known to close threads that you didn't like, when Laudrup was the subject.
However, recently you have become less emotive about it,and that's to be applauded.
Mods,by definition, shouldn't get involved in the threads.
If they find it impossible to refrain from posting, then they have to be neutral, and unbiased.
When it came to Laudrup.you were anything but unbiased, thereby making a rod for your mod status.
Modding should be a fairly straightforward role.
Rules are laid down, and they should be enforced.
Failure to do that equitably, and to clearly have an agenda, gets in the way.
Fairness, and a complete lack of bias, are basic requirements of an effective mod.
I'm not sure that your "utter nonsense" statement sits favourably with your earlier rebuke of Dragonborn.
Although I find WSAF and Campioni's views on this irksome (see post 23) they have a point. The stats simply mean a change in approach maybe but as has been pointed out you can have very high percentage stats (as in possession) and still lose a game. The goals we have scored have been impressive.

Would be nice if the discussion is about the topic , if you dont like the topic then go elsewhere. As for the ignore button , use it ...dont make a big announcement about it like it means a lot , just do it .Was always amazed at the talk of ignore button , instead of just using it .
I won't mention ignore buttons ever again.
