I heard Caulker was at fault for one of United's goals, did he look good apart from that? We need him now.

He got played into trouble by a ridiculous pass to him from Grant Hall. Why it looked bad on Caulker was because he didn't seem to be concentrating and seemed slow to react.

I am a massive fan of Caulker and I believe he has a great career ahead of him, but he's been a bit off the pace so far this season, and his performance for the Olympic squad against Uruguay when he was given the run around, shows he's still got some hard work ahead of him.

I missed the first ten minutes of the game so missed the goal but his performance throughout was steady. Wasn't spectacular but wasn't dreadful, dealt with what was needed. You can tell he's still got a lot to learn but he's definitely a very good player in the making as we all know. Hope he gets some action in the Europa / Cups as well as maybe some cameos in the league.

As I mentioned yesterday though, it was all about Townsend, he stole the show with his blistering pace, skill which made the Utd full backs dizzy and put in a good shift along the left hand side with Nathan Byrne, who was also extremely impressive. Had a touch of Kyle Walker about him, baring in mind his natural position is RB, he was by far head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch for Spurs (and Utd in fairness) bar Townsend. Really encouraging performance, hoping to see more of this U-21 league when I get the chance, always been interested to see who has the potential to perhaps one day make it at the club and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out on Byrne to see if he maintains that sort of performance.

An update on the under 21's as our OS seems to have ignored this fixture - we drew 2-2 yesterday morning with Sunderland, so this team is also looking for the first win. Goals were scored by Pritchard and Falque.
