Wrong, they always unite effectively for general elections.Heath, Thatcher, Major, Cameron and now May, all Tories brought down over Europe. This shows how over decades the Tories have never been able to unite.

Just as they did in 2017? That was all about Brexit, and the country took away the majority that they had. Nothing will change, the party is falling apart for all to see.
Hahahahaha you’re beyond delusional. No, there is no prospect of a general election, I would fully expect this parliament to last it's full course. When it comes to comrade Corbyn looking as if he has any chance of power the UK electorate shivers and backs away.
This really is laughable....The new Brexiteer PM will ensure the Tories unite quickly as they always do. Time to send a proper negotiating team to Brussels to take on the bully boys. If they will not negotiate sensibly we will just leave and negotiate later.
We need to keep those useless senior civil servants well away from the talks.
They will shrink away from an ERG tory leader...No, there is no prospect of a general election, I would fully expect this parliament to last it's full course. When it comes to comrade Corbyn looking as if he has any chance of power the UK electorate shivers and backs away.

Only a Brexiteer will be chosen by me and my fellow members, we will no doubt choose wisely for you.
Hammond last man standingIf things go as last time, members will not get a vote.

The 'general feeling in the country' appears to have changed Scully. Even at the time of the referendum itself only about 36% of the electorate (discounting Brits abroad, EU citizens in the UK, under 18s etc. etc) actually positively voted for some sort of undefined Brexit. It actually came down to about 25% of the entire population. By any reasonable analysis non voters can be seen as de facto voters for remaining in as much as they are for 'no change'.Thatcher?
As for the others, it seems they were out of touch with the general feeling in the country of EU membership.
