No one voted to leave the EU with no deal simply because it was never thought to be an option, even by the right wing who now favour it. By the same token no one voted for a deal because nothing had been discussed about what it might look like. Therefore the public were invited to vote blind on something that was an ideology rather than a practical measure being put forward. It is little wonder that the remain vote grows as people slowly have the whole rotten idea laid out before them.

The zimmer frames are getting a severe testing in the Lords today. The Tories have tried to filibuster and talk the Cooper bill out of time. There is a system in place there to stop such opportunism, but has the effect of making the Lords vote twice on each amendment. How much longer can the antiquated system of voting continue in both chambers?

We simply voted to leave so that is easy to achieve.

Give me a £10,000 SH and I will give you a good return on it. Don't ask me for any details, just trust me that you will be ok. I will give you a bank account number that you can pay it in to, although I might have to set the account up first. Seeing as you are happy to enter transactions blind, I am sure you will want to take up this special offer.

Are you looking to buy your entire village?

@superhorns No need, I’m perfectly capable of reading data, you seemingly can’t get beyond a S*n headline.

Unless you’re deliberately trying to deceive that is.........

You must log in or register to see media

I rather doubt you could buy a barn here for that these days. I am quite surprised that you didn't jump in feet first to take advantage of my special offer.
All he’s got is snide digs, lies and ad hominem.

I’ve no idea why you lot tolerate the old troll.

It seems that JRM is no longer content with trashing one country, but is turning his attention to the whole of Europe now.

If a long extension leaves us stuck in the EU we should be as difficult as possible. We could veto any increase in the budget, obstruct the putative EU army and block Mr Macron’s integrationist schemes."

Veto the EU budget? For years he has been telling his little band of followers that the UK had no power to do such things. Make up your mind man.

Hopefully the Macron boy will muster all the anti Brit sentiment he can and block any further extension for the UK in the EU.

You really are a saddo.. And your posts get even snidier in the evenings. Which is why I think the drink dulls your mind

The fresh orange is very strong in Herts, I am going to a music pub later, I might even have a pint or two.
It must be boring in France for you to post such drivel.

So where are we tonight? A letter sent to the EU full of nothing. A PM still playing for time and splitting her party even more. The opposition still unable to agree what they stand for and splitting in the same way as the government. No way forward. Just hang around and hope that something might happen. Time to pull the whole crazy experiment and get to running the country for the good of all, and not just the politicians.

I'm waiting for Macron to prevent the extension so we can leave without a deal, he must have time to put his oar in before the riots start tomorrow.
