We have covered this several times, yawn. We all agree there needs to be tighter controls on who is in the UK.

You really should read round a bit further. The EU are trying to find a form of words that will save May from total collapse in Westminister. Her difficulty is that she is in hock to to the DUP and knows that she needs their support to keep her in power. The traitors within the Tory party are out of their depth and would rather see Labour in power than admit they are clueless.

The EU is backing the idea that technology could solve the Irish border issue, something they were advised months ago. This is something you said was impossible, maybe you should warn Barnier quickly. They obviously read the ERG Group recent paper on the subject.

I get more sense of reality from young earth creationists, geo-centrists, 9/11 truthers and flat-earthers than I do from our resident Berko-brexiteer.

I'm so pleased the IMF has predicted low growth for the UK after Brexit, with it's appalling recent record for predictions it undoubtedly means strong growth.
It should be concentrating on Italy which is about to go into recession.

Tell you what. You had a dig at me being a Civil Servant and asking how many jobs I had created. Would you like to tell us all how many times you've been asked to chair UN negotiations the result of which have been lauded by the Telegraph and pilloried by Labour but, a few years on, been proven right? I did it twice :-)

Basically the only things we can really know about each other are that we are all Hornets, and, possibly all computer nurds, sometimes keyboard warriors, and with a high percentage of grumpy old men putting the World to rights. Other than that we know very little about the people behind the user personae, and cannot really make assumptions about each other. We also cannot check up on whether the created user personae are accurate - anyway, as I was saying to Frau Merkel this morning <laugh>

I think we should all be hoping that the civil servants are doing their best to prevent a massive loss of jobs in the UK, something that some seem to believe is a good way to run the economy. Tim Martin wants special treatment to ensure that he can have as many EU workers as he requires, and at the same time is expanding his business into the EU to cover his back. Funny how people such as him and Rees-Mogg say one thing about leaving the EU, but are using it to protect their wealth.

I did not at any point call Tim Martin a clown and you know it. I compared Boris to the resident clown in Wetherspoons - i.e. the loud mouths you find in every branch every day of the week. Not Tim Martin, not the man who owns Wetherspoons or any other combination that would imply it was aimed at him. . You failed miserably at trying to twist my words. End of <ok>

Tim Martin does not require special treatment, he will able to attempt to justify any call for migrant labour just like any other company. Short term contracts would be ideal. His non UK business is less than 1% with no openings in the EU in this financial year so a red herring. I find it strange that you think UK businesses should not trade in Europe.
