I am quite happy for there not to be direct correspondence between us for a while (at least not on here) because I do not want the others to read the type of poison which is going between us at the moment - they have better things to do. Also the reason that I would prefer not to add further oil to the fire is because it may lead to a permanent estrangement which, with so few of us on here, would be negative all round.

Just to say I did feel censured in a recent interchange.. And decided to withdraw from participating pro tem in this thread... And I guess many of us have felt criticised by others.. So may be we need to try harder..

If it is not acceptable to post links, clips etc on threads like this if we consider them pertinent then so be it.. But I don't think it is helpful to make value judgements etc about what others post without some discussion.

Many of us feel censured and criticised by others. I think most of the time most of us do try harder. However most posts I expect are done in a hurry and will not always meet the high standards we might want to reach - but equally we do not have to be overly sensitive if our views are considered foolish or worse.
Read the last line of my first post on this thread. I wanted this thread - this thread - to be link, quote and clip free. I hoped for a thread where people would think their position through and explain it. I was quickly disappointed although to be fair since then this thread has mostly been notable for the absence of clips, videos etc.
I have no "right" to how people post other than I started the thread and made a request. There are lots of threads with clips, quotes and videos - was I so wrong in hoping to make this one free of them?
As far as I am concerned this thread is now tainted and valueless. I cannot see it returning to the subject matter in a better way.
Perhaps others are right and I am wrong and political threads are a waste of time.
Am I allowed to be disappointed or is that my arrogance, etc etc?
I still believe if everyone only posted on points made - even calling them ridiculous,stupid etc (as many are) that would not matter. It is when we name a person as stupid etc that things really get bad.
If you're asking a direct question then yes it is your arrogance ! This cannot be interpreted as an insult because you asked the question. When you open a thread you do not own it, it becomes public property and you do not, subsequently, have censuring rights on it - only the mods have that. You would do well to look at your posts to me over the last week and then place this together with your last sentence.

I told Cologne I would only respond to him if he mentioned me or attacked me again - which he just has. I was not even talking to him but to Yorkie. Also calling a person arrogant is a personal attack - if Cologne does not understand the difference between a question that is rhetorical as opposed to a real one then no wonder his posts have become so full of rubbish recently. I am more than happpy to trade insults with Cologne publicly if that is his desire. I have always given as good as I get.
He is also wrong. If you start a thread and you suggest some "house rules" you are perfectly entitled to moan if someone deliberately breaks them. That is not the job of a mod . It is each of our entitlements to moan about someone who does not post as we like. Let' face it- it is all Cologne ever does with you.
It seems Cologne wants a mod to come in and stop this nonsense.
I would urge you to read back on some of your posts to me back to around page 17, and, more or less continuously since. You may realize where the initial aggression came from. Are you also a mind reader in apparently knowing what I want ? Stop all of this Leo before the damage becomes too great for us to ever heal. We have more or less agreed to avoid each other - fine.
