This is the biggest problem. "Hoofed" is totally wrong because apart from that ****arse at left back, they are trying to play long passes to either switch play or get the strikers in behind. However, there is no need for it, there are simple passes on that will keep us moving up field. We don't need Henderson playing at being David Beckham every 5 seconds, we need to move the ball, press the opposition back and allow the full backs to provide the width. As someone once said, it's a simple game complicated by idiots!

There was a journalist on SSN this morning(forgotten his name, but he's on there all the time) who summed things up very well.

He said individually the England U21 players were amongst the best in the competition, stick them in a Premier League team alongside a mix of players with different styles and they'll excel. But stick XI English blokes on the pitch together and they don't seem to have a clue what to do, they don't read each other, they don't play the short passes they play week in, week out in the Premier League and they just play daft long balls all night long.

    They pretty much are :)
No worries that they missed the U21, other great teams missed it as well (Germany, Italy etc). Swedens first team has been brilliant lately and the squad looks really good. We will probably quailfy ourselves to the European Championship as "Best runner up".

It looks like it. But with all due respect, Hungary, Finland, Moldova and San Marino aren't great competitors behind yourselves and Holland.

Hope England draw Sweden in the Euros - providing we qualify. It always makes for an interesting game (although it usually ends in a drab draw)
