Looks a beatiful place though, how out of place does that stadium look lol? Looks like it has been superimposed!
Riiiiiiiggghhht. Wait, why am I unlucky there? My ancestry isn't something I can pick and choose, but I'm proud to be of Faroese descent. Why wouldn't I? It's where I was born? I even go to some of the international games, if it doesn't clash with City playing! Leicester is where I am studying and it's a decent city, got a much better night life than Hull does (IMO). OK so the football fans are a pain in the backside and they take this thing called rugby union far to seriously, but it is generally a pleasant place. As for supporting Hull City....well yeah, you're right, couldn't have picked a worse team could I?
I wasn't saying Faroese ancestry was something to be ashamed of numbnuts, I was pointing out that instead of living there you live in ****ty Leicester. Can we be friends?
Haha I wouldn't have thought having Faroese ancestry was something worth knocking, it's not exactly an island steeped in important global history! I think anybody would take living in Torshavn or Streymur over living in Leicester, but it would be a long haul to uni! Although, think of the air miles...... Okay, you can come to my birthday party Erik.
Taken from visitfaroeislands.com... "History According to stories passed down for generations the Irish abbot St. Brendan in AD 56067 went in search of The Promised Land of the Saints. One of the stories told of a visit to "The Islands of the Sheep and the Paradise of Birds" situated several days'' sailing distance from Scotland. Based on this story and archaeological excavations there is good reason to believe that Irish monks were the first settlers in the Faroe Islands...." AD 56067???!!!!
Well i did go to uni their , until i dropped out i couldn't stand it, and the Uni was pretty poor over. And i will admit Leicester was pretty poor place overall....
I loved my time at Leicester uni. Already been to one reunion. Another potentially coming up in October. Not sure the town was a particularly good night out, but the uni's own nightclub was quality. Particularly on a Wednesday night. Does Hull have a pub like the Dry Dock? Imperial's union is pretty poor in comparison. Edit: The union bar at Leicester always reminded me of Venue on George Street.
I suspect you're right, although it was an Irish abbot who was probably pi$$ed on Buckfast so he probably didn't know what year it was
