Not having leadership on the pitch is killing us.

Never been the same since Nolan left. I'd like to go for Jonathan Walters or someone with a bit of presence on the pitch. Our team hides and loses discipline and all composure when things aren't going our way.

And if our board had any clue they'd get a cb as part of the trade for Cabaye. Koscielny/Mertesacker or Vermaelen would all be a step up from Taylor. Taylor getting suspended might be a good thing. He shouldn't be cb, he should be right back, I've been saying so all along.

Is Willo still a nufc player? I thought he moved to the championship...

Completely agree with this.

The weird thing here is that it was Kinnear who signed Nolan ....

A bindipper said to me today if Kinnear is the answer, what was the question <grr> *laughing stock*

I'd agree re leadership, but to be honest, I think the thing that's really killing us (and did last season after Ba left) is the inability of our strikers to hold the ball up to let midfield get forward and play develop.

Shola - lack of mobility/ability

Cisse - cannot and will never lead the line properly, decent striker but he needs to played in his best position, playing off the shoulder of the defender and running on. It was like watching men against boys against Kompany and Lescott last night.

Yup, Pardew & a bold guy are heading for one flight & JFK, Carr on the other. Hopefully to finalise the 2 deals that nufc confirmed today. Im still worried though this french influx is back firing on us.

This exactly. Couldn't agree more!

Having sat there and watched our play last season, the ball goes up to Cisse, he can't hold it up and it comes straight back. We need a target man who can hold the ball up, not only linking up play with the midfielders, but also relieving pressure high up the pitch at times.

Looks like booze run for Kinnear alright. Jesus, he's been at the port looking at that pic and I don't mean the lovely port of Nice either.

Yep...the f*cker looks sozzled as per the usual.

Latest reports now saying Pardew concluding deal for Bafetimbi Gomis and may bid for Yoann Gourcuff, possible Cabaye replacement. Tom Ince has also been mentioned again. And more NUFC Scouts in Czech Republic watching Maribor winger Agim Ibraimi.

Any movement is good right now i guess.

jesus christ, I've seen dead people look better than that.

Reminds me of an old uncle of mine, not an actual uncle, but an uncle that your parents tell you is your uncle for strange reasons.

Yellow hair, yellowy brown fingernails no doubt and just generally ****ing jaundice looking !

His face looks like its melting as well, maybe he's going for the harry redknapp look !

Gourcuff? That would be a tad exciting. He is another injury prone player though and is no more mentally robust than Cabaye himself. He's also on high wages and would probably cost a fair bit... Can't see it really, but we might try to offer a double deal for him and Gomis. Gomis - well we certainly need someone who knows how to hold the ball up and according to OL fans he excels at that. Ince would be great. Thauvin likewise. Don't know much about Ibraimi, but I trust Carr.

Cabaye going looks like it might be for the best if it results in some of these players arriving. The squad needs freshening up and the outgoing player has proven his limitations.
