This is tonight's big match, Jupiter and Saturn in conjuction for the first time in 400 years, visible in the southwest sky from 5.30ish this evening. ..

Hoping for some clear skies later...
We watched the solstice this morning from Stonehenge, and although last night they had a lovely sunset today was a bit of a damp dreary one.
Sadly, it's been a grey drizzly day down here, not much chance of a view...
They've changed all our streetlights recently (again) and the new LED ones have very little backlight which makes for great viewing of the stars - we'll be headed over to the park as we don't get much of a view to the south because of the hill we live on
Good luck with that...
it's pissing down here! Oh well, best wait another 400 years!Very predictable...

Very chilly but very clear skies tonight .....I know nothing about the night sky but I think the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction is visible, at about 4 o’clock from the moon. Saw it while walking the dog, and can see it out of the window now.Still no luck down here, it was clear before sunset then the clouds arrived...

I have had a lot of Chablis though.
Merry Christmas!
