The All weather mid week racing is a pile of crap and full of cart horses.... I 'd go as far to say as yes Im sure there's some fixing going on but bear in mind most of the horses are donkeys so a horse being held back might not be a horse being held back it might actually be trying but is so bad its almost unbelievable to the naked eye... I avoid the all weather racing - never bet on it.
Nass there is no way you can have a poor ride as an excuse in a 4 runner race. If you are to far back and then dont ask the hrse for enough effort, it is totally unacceptable standard either you should never ride again due to incompetence, or you are cheating. Its one or the other. Its about time these AW bastards were targeted.
I agree that betfair and bha should be working together on cases like this, but it wouldnt surprise me if known accounts are protected as long as they dont go over the score. If some people at Betfair had access to say, the accounts that back the curley horses when they are out to run, do you think they want to tell anyone about it?
Its an absolute farce what they are doing with Son Of Flicka - and this is coming from someone who profited in a big way from it last year and stands to do so again this year if he turns up at the Coral. They literally started trying to get him well handicapped a month after his Coral Cup success at Aintree when they dropped him out the back and he's been a blatant non trier/nowhere near fit enough to do himself justice every race since. They've achieved that goal now and wherever he turns up at Cheltenham he's going to run another massive race and could very, very easily win.
I profited too thanks to your chucking him up on here ROTO (thanks) but it was blatant cheating. In his post race interview Jason Maquire said it was "a marvellous training performance". That phrase has to be the racing worlds favourite euphemism for cheating. And what about Merigo in the Scottish National. 2 wins and a close 2nd in the last 3 years with bugger all in between. After his last national win his trainer said the horse comes alive when he gets too Ayr. Nah mate, he comes alive when you order the handbrake to be taken off. Though 12 years old now I note that he's slipping down the weights again ready for another tilt in April.
Hi guys new on here, looking to give some input, tips and info on some meetings. I know people who work at ayr and hear some handy info on racedays. I see u mentioned merigo, on the last national it won i was told to back it heavy each way. Looking forward to chatting with you guys and hopefully get some good tips from yourselves also
