Very interesting read. What we need now is for someone to, equally articulately, challenge the logic and/or to produce some equally sound logic that might apply to another trainer. If that isn't possible (ie because none exist) those odds do look very tempting (if they are still available) - and I don't bet. Might be worth linking this to the Cheltenham index/thread Oddy. Do we have an ante-post thread yet? PS. Sorry, found it now.
Ah, didnt even think of that myself, I think he is a 2 miler, 2m4 tops, he was a good horse last season, he beat me one day when I backed Baily Green who I loved last season, and then just got beat by Buckers Bridge when I backed him next time! The only race at Cheltenham for him would be the Champion Chase imo and even if he has improved enormously, it would be a surprise if he could give Sprinter Sacre something to think about. They might keep him for the 2 miler at Punchestown seen as Sprinter looks likely to go to Sandown instead.
Thanks for the Link TC, great read. Looking at the horses he has mentioned, if last year is anything to go by you could make an absolute fortune by backing Mullins Novices.
