It seems that in the X factor generation in which we live, politicians integrity means jack anymore. Boris is a prime example, he was a Remain advocate, but saw a political opportunity so campaigned for the opposite cause. Unfortunately for all concerned - won the ****ing vote - and then packed up his basked of lies the following day, and scarpered. A few weeks later - hey presto - he's the new Worldwide face for the UK, and many appear to think there's anything wrong with that chain of events.
I think most Leave voters are simply in denial over this. He gave them the result they wanted and so they will excuse the means by which it was delivered. I don't see how anyone with any moral perspective at all can justify rewarding someone for going against their own beliefs and telling blatant lies in order to further their own careers, with little regard for the consequences.
and i sometimes get the impression that May has appointed BJ to the FO simply to give him enough rope to hang himself (which tbf he is doing a good job at ) so solving the problem of pressure from his supporters. Sod the fact that it just may be bad for the country but that would just be following on from Cameron / Osborne where national decisions were made in not in the national interest but in the interests of their section of the Tory party. PS just watched the BBC programme "The Last Miners" from last night which has just added to my rage at self serving duplicitous politicians
Maple is very unpleasant to me. Not so much the flavour but the smell. I walk into a room with an open bottle of maple syrup and I have the hold the contents of my stomach tightly.
I've heard of it being done , but it's not that common more of a curiosity people try once and then never done again.
I've already expressed my opinion on maple syrup... Bread does tend to be sweeter over here. There is sugar in everything over here. Get used to it over time, but I remember thinking how disgustingly sweet things that aren't supposed to be are the first few years. I do like biscuits and gravy. First off, it's not real biscuits, it's American biscuits, they're more like a bread. Secondly, the gravy isn't a brown gravy, it's a white sawmill gravy with bits of sausage. If you describe it as a sausage butty with a rich, thick cream sauce, it sounds more palatable. I wouldn't eat McDonalds biscuits and gravy though. But in a nice southern style sit down restaurant, absolutely.
Lots of politicians break their campaign promises once they hold office. Trump is probably the first to break them all before he even gets sworn in.
Sonics sausage and egg on toast was palatable and actually tasted like sausage and egg on toast for some strange reason. Always found that out of the fast food outlets that Denny's was the best breakfast with the best hash brown potatoes.
I just saw the pictures on the menu board, never ordered it - thought the biscuits would be like dumplings from the look of them but I don't do white sauce of any kind, sweet or savoury so the 'gravy' was a non-starter. The people eating them seemed to be enjoying them though
I like Denny's. It's one my favourite national greasy diner type chain. Probably been a year since I ate there though.
The white gravy is super unhealthy. I love it though. Rarely eat it because it is so full of fat. American Biscuits are somewhere in between a bread roll and a scone... Not usually too sweet though. Dumplings not a bad guess, When my wife makes chicken and dumplings it is actually biscuit dough she uses to make the dumplings. . When baked they don't have a dumpling consistency though.

See the far Right, both in columns like this one (below) and on message boards and comments pages of the Mail and suchlike are referring to Mair as a 'terrorist' (their quotation marks). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...al-jury-due-retire-consider-verdicts-alleged/ What is their actual definition of a terrorist then, if not Mair? Vaguely amusing to see the Right in denial that Mair is one of theirs. If he hasn't said it yet, watch out for Hitchens trying to blame it on anti-depressants and not white supremacist propaganda and homemade guns.
