Another similarity between [HASHTAG]#brexit[/HASHTAG] and Trump is the instant they win they [HASHTAG]#backpedal[/HASHTAG] on all their policies/lies

This really is a era of politicians intentionally lying to win elections, knowing the result of the election can't be instantly reversed the same way they can instantly reverse their stories

It's a sad irony that post the Brexit vote all we've heard is 'democracy' shouted from the rooftops, and then 3 months later those same advocates of 'democracy' were slamming our judiciary for upholding our parliamentary democracy.....

That same 'democratic' decision was in no small part delivered by a campaign full of untruths and deliberately misleading information.

The law was changed in '99 to exclude political campaign advertising from the Advertising code legislation. Since then they can basically make up any old **** and not have to justify it's validity. Democracy at it's finest.

When we were in the US there was always a jug of maple syrup on the breakfast table. When in Rome and all that ... tried it poured over bacon, sausage and actually quite liked it. Bread is sweet, don't like that. Also McDonalds biscuits and gravy ???? Looked like it had already been down once <laugh>

<laugh>

Did you try chicken fried steak?

They get a piece of beef, twat the the thing with a mallet till its flat, dip it in batter and fry it, its eaten with green beans and creamy mashed potato, its covered in this horrible stuff they call gravy, its white and lumpy(cornflower), yuk!

I mean it's become more extreme and managed

This isn't people finding the job more difficult once in power, having to make compromises etc.

Now it's like Leave make a press release claiming millions for the NHS, and simultaneous craft the press release backtracking that promise ready for release 1 minute after the election results are announced

This is just an example of a pre-planned lie and insta-backtrack roadmap, since in [HASHTAG]#reality[/HASHTAG] Leave obviously had no ****ing plan for winning

Trump isn't even president yet and has already ruled out even attempting to implement most of his policies, at least Obama tried for months before failing

While they're at it why not just exclude bankers from accounting regulations and exclude police from having to follow the law. Oh wait...

Democracy means someone gives you a couple of options, then you have a vote, and then the result must instantly be implemented within seconds, with a live reaction shot of the winners and losers

Too many people grown up watching Big Brother

Never tries the chicken fried steak but best burgers in the world. I actually loved most of the grub there but the gravy - yuk - and why is it white? USA also has the best fruit I've ever tasted. Pass on most of the sweets though, especially the chocolate.

Where a public vote's involved the saying goes that the people get what they deserve. There's thousands, if not millions who complain about the outcome who couldn't be bothered to vote, If you don't vote, you lose the right to complain. Voter apathy is one thing, protest voting is another, when the two are at play simultaneously, you end up with chaos.

And, like Boris, they're given a plum job as reward for their mendacity. A job which, in his case, he is utterly unsuited to.
How can we ever stop politicians being manipulative, lying ****bags if their actions are reinforced in this way?
