Really not possible to say with any degree of accuracy. The don't test for flu in the same manner so only the people who get ill with it would ever be identified and even then if we take America as an example (as the figures are more available there yet still very iffy) they think around 10% of Americans get flu every year (so 32million) and around 30,000 die (if we call it 32,000 then that would be a death rate of 0.1%).
Bare in mind that is without any form of lockdown, that is with flu being allowed to just pass around people. If you wanted to do a fair comparison with something like Covid19 it would require no restrictions whatsoever to be in place and to then log the numbers. Clearly that isn't going to happen.
NOTE: The death rate for Covid19 is gradually expected to level out at more like 1-2% rather than where it is now. It was skewed upwards early on as the only people identified as having it is those who were ill with it. The death rate was at 10%+ for quite a while as a result but was artificial as it didn't include all those who were mild with it. The flu "death rate" will also be artificially high for the same reason and is still likely to be 1/10th or 1/20th the rate of Covid19.

There seems to be some debate over when he was actually diagnosed as testing positive. The Dr’s and the Whitehouse with conflicting timelines for how long he’s been confirmed as having it. With one talking about 72 hrs yesterday which would means he went to a rally knowing he was carrying COVID, a rally at which he mixed with his support as per, maskless.
The event you’re referring to last weekend sums up his and the senior Republicans attitude towards the entire thing, no social distancing, no masks, hugging each other and spreading the virus at will. That went well.
The irony is that he was claiming the U.S. was over the worst and it was all about to end
