Mike -

I can beat that <cheers> I was against the mob from the hour BEFORE they walked in. British is Best has always been my motto in all walks of life.

i dont buy this poyet "glad to be back" either. he has no loyalty, he's only coming to us for game time. hope it works out and he plays well and we move up the league, but i wont be clapping him.

cancelled my valley gold because of what he did. bet loads more have done so since the 'mare has come out with "we'll sell our kids to the prem".

We are deep in the brown stuff thanks to constant gash signings, and need another 30 points out of a Belgians backside in order to stay up.

Is Poyet better than what we have currently got?

Yes, with knobs on (I am sounding like Fanny Fanackapan here...)

Does Poyet make it less likely we will be playing Crawley in the league next season ?

Yes, again.

Poyet is replacing Mohammed Inbrahim - Ba or whatever his name is, not Glenn Hoddle in his pomp.

He's a purely defensive midfielder, always has been, and as long as he's only asked to do that I think he'll do well for us. Maybe more was expected of him at the other clubs?

The defense needs all the help it can get - and they have a classy assistant in DP.

It could even be a good opportunity to get him back permanently. No matter what, there will be additional payments due on him, so west ham may be prepared to wash there hands of him come the summer. Especially since their revenue will have a scary increase.

If he can repair his fractured relationship with the hierarchy this could be an exciting step. I still think he's capable of the jump up.

As I aid before if he's as he was when playing for us and not the Poyet of Huddersfield town
I don't know what role they asked him to play, he can only play one way, as a defensive mid just in front of the back 4, always has done and he's damn good at it. Shunt him around a la Cousins you lose a good player.

Ayo Obileye and Joe Pigott are back with the Club after their loan spells. There could be another signing before the end of the week. Kermorgant is still wanted but nothing is happening at the moment.

Kenwyne Jones to al Jazira
Reading also selling their top scorer Blackman to Sheffield Wednesday, two very strange transfers.

Would make sense, I personally think he is gash. Can't believe how lethal he and Bent were together at Sunderland for a while.
