Thanks, Don.

This appears on the Football League website of Rules:
52.2.2 ... no Club may sign more than 4 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) from another Club (or club) in any Season.

http://www.football-league.co.uk/global/section6.aspx#ZqLWHvrEZVGwzsi1.99

This is ambiguous. By "another club" do they mean "from any one club"in an attempt to thwart the Watford situation where they signed 10 from Udinese?
I believe you can only have 4 long term (longer than 6 months) loans per season. Short term emergency loans (up to 3 months) you can have a few more.

Well there you have it, I was wrong <laugh>.
Either way it's not a good idea to rely on so many loan players.

We're looking to try to sign Alexis De Sart off of Sint-Truidense_V.V.

YES, what we need a 19 year old kid to rescue us from relegation from the most competitive league in the world.

Of course there's another buyer. They would have kept him out on loan to Cardiff, and have them pay his wages.

This Trexler bloke... Do they not heed their own advice?

Have l missed something here? Richard Murray stated within the last few days that the owner admitted that overseas players were find it difficult to adjust to playing 46 games in the championship, and that was likely not the way forward in the future. Assuming my understanding to be correct, why on earth are we now likely to purchase yet another no-hoper; and if that was not bad enough; he is coming from Standard bloody Leige.

As HC. above has already put forward, why do they not heed their own advice?. Lies, Lies, and more Lies. Same as the re-appointment of Riga, he was quoted as saying that he would love to help Charlton, but nobody had contacted him. Yet, less than 12 hours later was announced as our manager. This happened despite it being announced that the 'in depth and constructive' search for a Coach following the dismissal of Fraye was ongoing. Add this to the saga of ..we have interviewed more than 20 candidates blah blah blah in less than 24 hours last year, and the whole thing is shambolic

Put Ms Miere, Richard Murray, Riga, and Roland in a dinghy together in the middle of the Channel shipping lanes and let them fend for themselves; much in the same way as we supporters (sorry, customers) are having to do to try and salvage our Club!!!

Born is Britain, Destroyed in Belgium RIP

Teixeira is just what we need - a 29 year old free transfer cast off from Standard Liege who boasts a distinguished career in Cyprus, Israel and Switzerland.

There are credible rumours on Twitter that we are only signing him because Duchatelet still owes Liege instalments on the Tony Watt fee [whatever happened to him...]

Apart from the fact that Teixeira's profile points to him being yet another Network journeyman dud, was it really only on January 7th that Tithead Murray said we would be signing "players with Championship experience in January".

More lies !

Rich Cawley [always well briefed by Meire <ok>] is now reporting that Charlton are looking to bring DOWN [thats right, down..] their January spending after the multi million pound splurge on Johnson, Williams and Poyet.

Managing expectations or what...
