HILL UNSURE ON FUTURE

Rangers defender Clint Hill, 38, has been talking to Sky Sports and says he is unsure where he will be playing football next season.

He is out of contract in the summer.

Loftus Road?
I'd take him. Still plays better than most in our team.

Loftus Road?

Bring him in to take over as defensive coach.....maybe he can teach Shodipo (and others) to defend, seeing as our current defensive coach seems unable and wants to ship him out on loan!

From Dave Mac. Goss likely to be done tomorrow, talks with Rotherham over Ward still on-going but nowhere near on valuation yet and Ollie likely to be in love with Ravel by lunchtime.

WARD BID REJECTED AGAIN

We understand Rotherham have turned down a fourth bid for striker Danny Ward. The bid is over £2m and is from a Championship club

Manchester United midfielder Sean Goss has completed his move to Queens Park Rangers.

The 21-year-old underwent a medical with the London club on Friday afternoon and has joined for a fee believed to be in the region of £800,000. Man United are expected to have included a buy-back clause into Goss’ contract which gives us the option of bringing him back if he goes on to thrive at QPR.

"It’s such a shame for Goss that injuries ruined his opportunities at United."

Oh no...

Excuse my ignorance what is a buy back option? Do we have to sell against our wishes if he does well? Do we have to give them first choicde if we sell him? or soething else?

I think they have an option to buy him back but have to pay what ever price we have been offered. Didn't spuds have the same thing with Bale? Or am I WRONG?

Glad he's signed, but it does sound dubious to me. Why would we not just take him on loan, I presume just because they have a buy back clause , we're not obliged to sell him back unless we want to !

Nicky Butt on Goss:
“He did a great job at the club but it got to the point where he spoke to me on several occasions and obviously he felt it was time for him to go. He’s going to a big club in QPR and it’s a great move for him. It’s an opportunity he felt he had to take with both hands.

“He has got a lot of talent, an abundance of talent, and a wand of a left foot. He just needs to get playing men’s football now, week in and week out, and get on a roll because when you do that, all of a sudden, it starts coming easily to you.”

Key thing here is the bit about needing to play mens football, we need to temper expectations a little and be patient with the lad. He's not had any senior football yet and we've seen how well Furlong has come along getting games under his belt with Swindon. Then again maybe he'llew be awesome from the off.

We don't do awesome !

On possible strikers,i see my man Rory McAlistair has scored again for his 15th of the season, and Charlie Wyke has got his 18th for Carlisle. Both worth a punt in my eyes, but then we don't like looking at strikers who do the biz !
