My usual (reliable) contact in the fanbase has messaged me to say that there is definite Championship interest in both Miles Leaburn & Lloyd Jones in January.

This is the acid test for Methven & Scott now.

We have got two good players out of a squad of 25, and both are drifting out of contract. The usual “we couldn’t stand in his way” bollocks won’t cut the mustard, not when the club has just Tweeted an appeal for fans to buy half season Season Tickets.

There are only three possible outcomes now, and two of them should spell the end for Methven & Scott if they materialise.

1. The owners reward both players with new long term contracts in January,

2. Complete silence, no contract offers but both players stay (known as “blagging it”). Both become free agents / worth next to nothing for CAFC, and leave for nothing this Summer.

3. The SMT sells Leaburn & Lloyd Jones in January.

No doubt “option 3” would also see a pitiful attempt to camouflage their greed, by hastily bringing in 2/3 free agents / has beens >>> Luton mates as ‘replacements’.
I reckon both will stay, Jones will be told he's not being sold as we hope to get play-offs because of our 'magnificent 4 game unbeaten run'.

There’s at least six Championship clubs interested in signing Leaburn.

The signing on fee alone would set him up financially.

You can imagine there’s plenty going on behind the scenes.
Leaburn could be sold as he has transfer value, but that will be around what we paid for the carthorse from Ipswich.
Leaburn's injury record is going to hinder the transfer value.
Never mind, we still have Aneke<whistle>

Rangers, Hearts & Aberdeen interested in Allan Campbell <laugh><laugh>

Fvck me …the state of the SPL if their second biggest club wants that rubbish.

Not just a staggering lack of ambition, but completely divorced from reality.

It’s as if perpetual life in League One for Charlton is some sort of “free hit” …where we carry on making a profit each year in front of 15,000 attendances.

It’s always “next season” for fans like Aaronaldo.

And when next season goes pear shaped, they quickly move on to the season after that.

No wonder he's the No.1 mod.

So on-message with the pseudo-intellectual inner circle. So content with a generation of decline.
