You just had to get that last bit inLuke Berry will be a very good addition to your team.
He is a midfielder that has that rare quality of knowing when the right time to get into the box is.
Always gives 100% - he's a proper machine.
Only downside is, because of the way he plays, he can't last 90 minutes these days - he has only been in Luton's starting lineup six times in the last two seasons.

Which hopefully are ignored from now onMy guess is that Jones may have the final word, but I imagine that talent finder Scott throws in a few names.
Where’s your proof to show that is how it works - or is that something you’ve just made up ?The stated recruitment process…….
1) Jones and his technical team select players that they’d like.
2) Scott and his management team look at those players, add in some alternatives of their own, work out the costs involved in relation to our budget and then give Jones back a smaller list of players we can afford. That list may or may not include any of Jones’ original targets.
3) Jones makes the final choice from that reduced list.
This IS the stated recruitment process.
It means that neither the SMT nor Jones are lieing in the statements they’ve made in relation to this. It also means it is totally irrelevant whether Jones is called The Manager, The Head Coach or The Messiah.
Don’t be fooled by the simple management trick of giving someone a different job title while doing the same job.

FOR GOODNESS SAKE - It’s what Charlie and Andy Scott have said in their various interviews on the OS and to Cawley in the SLP. I don’t just make things up !Where’s your proof to show that is how it works - or is that something you’ve just made up ?
I can’t be entirely sure about every single post on here, but certainly I and pretty much every other poster on here over the course of last season was highly complimentary and appreciative of Dobbo and Alfie, game after game. Likewise the academy kids. Some of them are excellent and where they have struggled it has been entirely due to the fact that they were being overplayed, due to the dross we have as alternatives. One thing I have noticed over time about transfers , and it’s not confined to this forum.
It applies to a couple of the most miserable gobshItes on CL, who post about everything and anything each day, as well as a couple of pub bores and of course BB on ITTV …they never welcome a new signing, or are positive about it, or praise our Academy talent, or players who are doing well for us.
Its very odd
I understand it in BBs case, as the lights are on but nobody is at home, but for a hardcore of others who cannot go a single day without posting on a Charlton forum - they never have anything positive to say either about a new signing, or an Academy starlet. Or a stand out performer like George Dobson or Alfie May.
Ben Watson was brilliant for you when he dropped down to League One for his last few seasons - you managed to get 44 games out of him.
Although TC also says that Ben Watson was brilliant for us, so maybe a pinch of salt is requiredI think TC has highlighted what is 'wrong' with Luke Berry.
We aren't often going to get a whole 90 minutes out of him.
A pity.
It doesn't make him worthless. But he isn't as large a piece of the puzzle as he might have looked at first glance.

Have you seen him play? How can you make a decision if he can last the 90 minutes? I have seen him play a number of times and he is a great addition to the squad.
It does help, which is why I haven’t got an opinion on him yet.I was not aware that I had to have seen Berry play before I could have a point of view about him.

OK. I'll not comment again on our new signings this season.
Charlie Kirk. Amid all the enthusiasm for this expensive signing I said exactly the same.OK. I'll not comment again on our new signings this season.
