Swansea's pre-season game today was called off due to Covid in their camp. Hope Eustace was interviewed remote, he was up close with Warbuton at today's hammering.

Can’t remember a better close season for transfer business … and not a huge wedge has been thrown about either.
That’s the way to do smart business.
Most important thing is we have improved the squad, I’m chuffed with that.

This is getting serious – Signing

Saturday, 24th Jul 2021 17:17 by Clive Whittingham

QPR have signed Stefan Johansen. Permanently. For the same amount they once paid for Sean Goss.

Facts

Stefan Johansen is the 30-year-old Norse God of central midfield play.

He was born in the small town of Vardo which, in the far north eastern corner of Norway, is the last bit of the world before there is nothing but sea and the Arctic. Naturally the climate here is warm and inviting, perfect for growing the sort of pristine playing surfaces that excellent young boys can hone fine tricks and flicks on through the toasty summer nights and mild, welcoming winters. Despite these advantages, it nevertheless took slow-developer Stefan until he was a creaking 14-year-old to be taken on by local professional club Bodø/Glimt and even then he didn’t debut for the first team until he was a veteran 16-year-old, turning out a paltry six times as Bodø/Glimt, inevitably, won the league and were promoted to the top division of Norwegian football......

Not a signing, but ...

John Eustace has ‘reluctantly rejected’ the Swansea managerial role as he wants to stay and carry on the journey at QPR

Great news!
I take this even more seriously.."to continue the journey".
He thinks we have a better chance than Swansea who got through to play off finals last year?????!!!!!

I am now getting scared

Definitely a good feeling in the club going into the new season. Could it be the year we go up?

I did post on QPR Manure thread about whether JE would change his mind.
Think we are starting for the first time i years a very good chance of challenging at the top end. We appear to be getting in good players, and players that fit the way MW wants to play more importantly. Keeping JE is very good business.....now if we can just get Moses Odubajo signed...

So if we sign Moses after his Saturday performance...we are done..????

Or do we need cover for Field.

I know we are still looking at u23...but first team squad is complete surely.

2 weeks before the start of season...
Just a couple of sales ( Kane. And Hamalainen)... And a few loans to send out ...,( Walsh, Masterson, Bettache or Duke-McKenna)

It is lovely to be stable.

Rather us than Swansea, Derby or Forest

The more I read and hear the more I believe that this is the season to have a real go at the automatics....... of the 3 that came down baggies are in that boing boing mold, Fulham have lost their manager and half their side from last year as they were loans and I can see Sheffield United going straight out the other end..... add to that WRDC, Forest, Swans are in disarray it looks our best chance for years.....

It's the hope.....

We will have to see if we can kick start the season and build confidence as we did in the second half of last season.

Very good news about John Eustace, it keeps the management team together to continue the momentum.

I’m, as they say, cautiously optimistic and always looking over my shoulder to see if something is coming to bite me in the arse!
