Don't know much about Saha, but I'm optimistic. I also agree that getting rid of obvious malcontents like Pav, and less obvious ones who are still disappointed not to play, may help.

It may be that while Spurs don't have ideal cover in every position, they now have the right number of top players to both handle a reasonable injury list and get them all a good number of minutes. I thought Krancjar was excellent last night, Sandro deserves to start, and Defoe deserves to play a lot. Kranjcar can play different positions, and Livermore can play right back. So if, say, Walker, Ade and VDV can't play, then it's Livermore at right back, Kranjcar and Defoe in. Or maybe try Saha for Ade, with Defoe, if Lennon can't play. You'd still have Bale, Modric, Kranjcar and Parker in midfield.

What I'm trying to say is that it would take a real raft of injuries for Spurs not to be able to put out a very good looking team. The biggest worry may be Livermore potentially at right back, but I think he'll be okay.

Well all in all I think we are now the THFC Bank- we have given out so many loans (must be more than anyone else ) I just hope we are repaid.

So.....

after Anybuyer - still on 9 goals, think I said he wouldn't score more than 10 in the league for us this season, didn't I? and he's not going to score any in February thats for sure

and

FREEdel - how many clean sheets does a top keeper normally keep? hmmmmm...

we have added

Louis Haha - will he even get off the (medical) bench for us? I think not, reminds me of a Rasiak or an Andy Booth type signing. Expect not a single goal from him in his Spurs career.

and

Ryan Nul-points-sen - if he ever signs, a 34 year old who's so good at defending, he can't even get into a Blackburn team that bends over and takes it like a bespectacled nerdy virgin on Prom Night.

Great, just great.

Now, I don't disagree with the players we said goodbye to, but there must have been better options that this drivel out there?

Your prom nights sound terrible.

So the prophet of doom has decided to grace us with its presence ...

Was it not the one saying that we wouldn't amount to much this season with the signings made, or not made in the summer?

I'd like to say you have been missed - however were I to do so I would be a liar.

We're performing way beyond MY expectations thats for sure, and I'm not unhappy about that.

But out of the signings made, only Parker has really surprised me by his performances.

EA misses way, way more than he scores, if he didn't our points tally would be a great deal better. And when WAS the last time he scored a goal (let alone a winning goal) for us?

BF, for all he has been lauded, still concedes with alarming regularity - and there were better, younger keepers out there IMHO. Ones that meant we wouldn't be looking for a replacement again next summer.

And I would never call you a liar, mostly because I don't know you. <ok>

Good of you to forget 3 disallowed legit goals, tell me another forward thats happened to in half a season.

Why are clean sheets so important to you...he's been on the winning side more than Gomes. Thats all that matters.

And "surely their must be better out there" than who we bought in...like who?, if you'd read the summary you wouldn't have needed to write that.

SQUAD LIST UPDATE
Posted 02 February 2012 3:43pm
Following the closure of the winter transfer window, and in line with the regulations implemented at the start of the 2010/11 season, the Club today submitted a list of 25 players to the Premier League, forming the squad of players that will be eligible to play in the competition from now until the end of the season (alongside players under the age of 21).

The squad list is as follows:

1 – Heurelho Gomes
3 – Gareth Bale
4 – Younes Kaboul
6 – Tom Huddlestone
7 – Aaron Lennon
8 – Scott Parker
10 – Emmanuel Adebayor
11 – Rafael van der Vaart
13 – William Gallas
14 – Luka Modric
15 – Louis Saha
17 – Giovani Dos Santos
18 – Jermain Defoe
20 – Michael Dawson
21 – Niko Kranjcar
23 – Carlo Cudicini
24 – Brad Friedel
26 – Ledley King
29 – Jake Livermore
30 – Sandro Cordeiro
32 – Benoit Assou-Ekotto
33 – Ryan Nelsen
36 – Bongani Khumalo
38 – David Bentley
42 – Simon Dawkins

U21 List:

25 – Danny Rose
28 – Kyle Walker

Bentley was loaned out to West Ham, but they broke him and he returned for treatment, Dona.
Khumalo's just ended his loan with Reading, too.
Wouldn't surprise me to see both sent back out again, if they're fit enough, though.
I assume that their inclusion, plus that of Dawkins, is just a precautionary measure.

I wonder why Saha took number 15 when 9 is available?
Perhaps he didn't know it was available or due to be?

He may not have known that it was available, YV.
It was being used when he signed.

Nelsen not taking number 5 might support your opinion, though! <laugh>
