I'm glad the keeper saga seems to be coming to an end but I'm worried we are breaking our transfer record to not actually improve our first team. Not unlike with Morata last year having sold Costa.
Agree, I’d rather we spent the 70M on a striker, plenty we could’ve gone for in goal for less than 70, surely?!
Nice deal for Courtois though, 35 with Kovacic on loan, option to buy will be included too apparently. Midfield looks tidy now!

Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho - none of them are particularly "creative" in my book
Kante is brilliant box to box but with little end product but brilliant at winning the ball, providing legs and making simple passes
Jorginho looks like he could be creative and can spot a pass but has been bought into be our playmaker/ball shuffler and spread it and pass it quick.
Kovacic is another Jorginho in my book, we either need a goal scoring midfielder like Lamps or a brilliant playmaker (cesc doesn't do it in my book) like Silva.
As for this new keeper, it's silly money and i would have tried to get donnarumma for cheaper than that seeing as milan are financially in trouble.
However, if we have to pay that much for a class keeper, than its not the end of the world. Much better than get joe hart on free or butland for 30 odd million (i don't know how good this kid is)
