We have tried it as plan B & C for the past 3 ****ing years.
Which suggests we were poor at delivering on Plan A and it was just as well we had it as plan B, otherwise we may have been relegated.

Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, looks like hes going thank ****. Hopefully no more drilling it aimlessly forward!Which suggests we were poor at delivering on Plan A and it was just as well we had it as plan B, otherwise we may have been relegated.

What did you think of BFG1, Seb Polter? If your objective is winning at all costs, or scraping a point by any means possible, if you don't truly care for the beautiful game, then Smith is an option. A horrible, horrible option. Sure, he has proved effective at times and scored a few crucial goals but I find someone with his pathetic lack of mobility as deeply offensive - it really grates with me - and not something I ever want to see at Loftus Road. Despite his height and physique, I refuse to believe that with training, he couldn't improve his running technique and his fundamental fitness so that he could get around the pitch much, much better than he does. My most wounding criticism of the man is to declare that he reminds me of Marc Nygaard: a tall man with very little else to offer. If we had eleven Matt Smiths - what an awful image that is - my season ticket would be history.
According to reports, Millwall baulked at buying him in last January's transfer window because of his high wages. I don't know what those wages are but I am sure, 100% sure, that we can spend that money more effectively.

I liked him a lot as well, but he wasn’t that much better than Smith.I liked him, quite a lot actually. He wasn't technically gifted but he worked hard, got around the pitch, made a nuisance of himself and could score goals. Once he got up to speed, he took some stopping as well!
Sylla was another one we didn’t make the most of
You’d think SLF would be able to recognise a decent striker when he saw one
Meanwhile, Conor Washington is in advanced talks to join Hearts on a free transfer from Sheff Utd ( 16 games no goals ). SLF was DOF when he signed for QPR for £3 million. ( 98 games, 14 goals ) Charlie Austin scored 48 in 89 games. SLF wasn't director of football at the time when we signed him.

We lack depth in quality in a number of positions, and this summer isn’t going to sort out years of poor decisions coupled with regular managerial changes and playing styles unfortunately.
We’ve struggled for some time scoring goals; but we really do need to plug the defensive side of our game. Stop the opposition scoring and you at least have a chance. A couple of loan forwards for this season would be OK (while we hopefully scout for someone permanent on the way up).
Have to agree with that. If we can have a player for every position and then a decent young un to cover injuries suspensions etc then hopefully this season wont be as agonising as the others!!We lack depth in quality in a number of positions, and this summer isn’t going to sort out years of poor decisions coupled with regular managerial changes and playing styles unfortunately.
