Do you think that we will get net 10 mill from our players sales? I include Freeman, Luongo, Ingram and Smith in the sale.
And his soul will be devoured by the devil. As a starter before he tucks isn’t Danny ‘I’m the victim here’ Baker and Rod ****ing Liddle.
Scores a lot of goals for someone who can't move. If he goes by my reckoning that leaves us with errr... no strikers.
Does he? I've no interest in seeing long balls hoofed up field hoping he can move 5 yards to head it on to nobody. Had a few seasons of that now. Thankfully Warbuton seems to want a more mobile striker aswell.
I will be disappointed to see Freeman go but due to the poor running of our club then this has become inevitable. I would like to see Chair have a more prominent role this year and not be loaned out. Quick feet and a quick brain, the sort of player that hopefully will get bums back on seats.
No I cant see it. Say Freeman goes for what is being reported then Luongo can only be worth half that or less. 500k for Ingram. 250k for Smith (pesetas)
I expect that we will accept an improved offer for Freeman of about 6+ mill. Luongo I believe was bought for 1.5 mill and only has one year left on his contract, so we will not have much negotiation leverage and will probably want to accept a reasonable offer, possibly around 2+ mill, and not just run down his contract. I think we will just want to get rid of the Ingram's wages, plus we will not get much for Smith. So we might get close to 10 mill but I would not be suprised if we just fall short of the mark. The transfer fees will most probably be "undisclosed" so we will never really find out. I hope that I am wrong as it would be great to sell them for 20+ mill, but I am trying to be realistic in this seemingly unfair transfer market. With all these ongoing transfers, it will be fun to try to "guess" our starting eleven for the Stoke away match in only about 40 days. Currently I have no idea but I expect the friendlies to give us a good indication. It seems that the youngester will need to come of age.
Agreed, it is his mobility that's the problem and we can do a lot better. As I say, he was a desperation player, and since we were close to the relegation line last season, his goals may have made the difference.
Without sounding rude or disrespectful, I really also hope you are wrong! I am sure that we will soon find out. If you are correct, then I really do not know how our business model will be sustainable. The fixed costs are large and our gate/TV revenues are limited. To fill the gap we need to regluarly sell players with a large profit. If proven players like Freeman only command small fees then I despair.
If we sell Freeman for £4m it’s a 1000% profit. Not enough for you? If he was worth any more someone would offer it. Loungo can’t be worth more than we bought him for. He’s not progressed as a player and is older. Also he disappears to Australia at regular intervals to sit on a bench.
We can only hope that the rumours of interest from Leeds, Boro as well as Sheffield U for Freeman actualise in a bidding round which pushes his price up a fair wack. Or that we keep him until January and sell him for more. Same with Luongo who, as with Smith, I don't see any ready replacement for him in the current squad.
He’s only a £3m player because it’s common knowledge we don’t have a pot to piss in. If it was Brentford selling him it would be double that easily. Just the way of the world.
