The one month loan is simply to get his match fitness up to scratch. If he wasn't in AN's plans it'd be longer than that, DM. The main thing holding him back, according to AN, is working on his tracking back when the ball is lost. I still think he's going to be an important player for us this season.

His looked really good at times when I've seen him play, smart, good passing range and strong, he can be a bit casual that's his main problem.

The month loan is a shrewd move. Gets him some game time and brings his fitness up. Also shows where he could be playing if he doesn't cut the Colmans so a bit of a motivator for him.

Shoot magazine claim that Hooper is 'being allowed to leave Carrow Road'
How are they 'privy' to this info - there's not been a squeak from manager or board of directors since Tuesday? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Maybe, but you want to bet it won´t happen ? - I´d say 60/40 it will, after all he ´s done very little lately to convince anyone that he´s Premier League material, and he looks out of shape to me. Give him a loan, get him some games and goals and get some weight off, would perhaps change the picture somewhat.

Under Alex Neil, I don't think Hooper has a long future at Norwich. Neil seems to prefer big, bullying strikers or pacy ones, and for all his talents Hooper fits neither category. Unless he wants to reinvent himself as an attacking midfielder, I can't see him playing much.

That said, he was our second choice striker for the last game. Unless Mbokani is proving the dog's bollocks in training, and Grabban is back integrated with the squad, he's still the most likely to appear on our bench. Letting him go before the other two are known quantities would seem rash. We'd probably expect to have 4 strikers in the squad anyway, and Lafferty seems more likely to go out on loan again. Letting both go would risk leaving us short.

The loan window runs until late November, so I'm not ruling it out just yet, as there's time for the others to prove themselves, but I can't see Hooper going out on loan within a month.

I'd think it more likely we'll move him on next summer, when we can better reshape our front line.

I don't believe it, that would amount to "tapping up" which is illegal!

Talking of wages, Toivonen is on loan at Sunderland with the Wearsiders paying all of his £25K per week wages! Seems cheap to me!

But Dave how can it not be true, it was reported in The Sun :emoticon-0105-wink:

New deal for Toffolo <ok>
Great news, We need to do this with more players who show a lot of promise. We need to use him in the cup, and maybe on our bench a few games for some Prem experience. It's what Ipsh*t do so well that we never do. Put trust in their academy players, and after a while, of training on and playing, they get picked up for millions, or become first team regulars. Would be so nice to see more Homegrown playing.

I don't think Vladis is going to cut it here. I don't think anyone at the club fancies him. We would have seen something of him by now. I can see him leaving on a free soon.

What do you base that on FML? Would AN send a player on a one month loan if he felt he didn't have a future? AN has said that Odjidja-Ofoe has a good future at City, so why this statement?

How long has he been here? How many starts? How many subs appearances? Just seems like he's seen as an average midfielder. Not set the world alight apart form under 21 games. Just don't see it happening.

He had a long term injury!
For some of it yea. Didn't put him in before or after though. It's my opinion before this turns into something, like some people on here do. I'm not saying I hate him, or he's awful. I don't think he's a star from what I've seen and heard, and I don't think he's rated as a key player by our staff. Just my opinion based on what I've seen and heard. Hope I'm wrong, coz we spend money on him.

When he joined Rotherham, their manager reckoned he was the best player on the pitch in our recent cup game. Now obviously there's room for some hyperbole with a new signing, but their fans would be laughing their heads off if he'd said that about someone who really underperformed.

Other than injury, his main problem has been the form of the likes of Wes and Howson, which has really limited his chances playing a central attacking midfield role.
