For some of it yea. Didn't put him in before or after though. It's my opinion before this turns into something, like some people on here do. I'm not saying I hate him, or he's awful. I don't think he's a star from what I've seen and heard, and I don't think he's rated as a key player by our staff. Just my opinion based on what I've seen and heard. Hope I'm wrong, coz we spend money on him.

I believe he came to us off the back of an injury too. I remember his debut at Brentford he looked very exciting, then a game or two later he picked up a long injury.
He only came back with a few games to spare and when asked AN said he wasn't going to change the team around when they were winning. Which they pretty much always were.

That's a fair summary, Bath. Like BJ was, Vadis is fighting for a place in a very strong central midfield with Dorrans and Mulumbu having come in. Although he can play as an AM, his main position is CM and that's where the competition is with at least four other PL quality players. The loan will get his match fitness up so he can fight for a place, probably as an impact sub initially with his ability to run at defences and score goals.

It will be interesting to see where he plays for Rotherham. Potentially he could be converted to an AM in which case maybe AN sees him as competition / future replacement for Hoolahan.

I think Rotherham will be more likely to deploy Andreu in a more advanced midfield role TBH.

So Leeds Utd want Lafferty:
http://themightyleeds.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/leeds-to-open-talks-with-striker.html

And Fulham are still after Hooper:
http://www.scunthorpetelegraph.co.u...ited-Celtic/story-27764312-detail/story.html?

So, if either of these come to fruition, we'd better hope Dieumerci Mbokani adapts to the pace of the Prem pretty damned quickly. Cos it'll all be down to him and Jerome <yikes>

Lafferty has said he doesn't want to go out on loan, and wants to stay and 'fight' (hopefully not literally) for his chance.

Surely he has to be given a chance, he's potentially our best striker and he sounds up for it so hopefully he'll be part of the squad in the next few weeks.

James Wilson is being allowed out on loan by Man United - worth a punt if Hooper/Lafferty go out on loan?

Edit: Hang on, forget that, just realised we're not allowed to loan anyone else now <doh>

Seems a bit excessive to have five senior strikers though, for one place in the team and maximum of two spots on the bench. I think we will see either Lafferty, Hooper or Grabban go on loan.

That could be, Dorset, but those 3 all offer different options like playing wide or as the second striker. At the moment they should all be competing for places and their response in training will probably be the decider for AN.

I reckon we'll see Lafferty on the bench on Saturday.

Wow, Marvin Sordell just joined Colchester on a free!I remember when he was going to be the next big thing. If they can get him on track and get a tune out of him, they could earn some goals and good transfer fee from him.

Urgh. If there's one missing from the bench, and it's not Grabban, I'll be livid.
Why? If his mind is right and AN thinks it would improve our chances of winning if he is in the team or on the bench surely he should be there? Grabban gets paid whether he plays or not so to leave him out and, in the eyes of AN, weaken our chances the only people to lose out are the Club. Shooting ourselves in the foot over a petty dispute perhaps?

I agree 1950. AN should make the judgement about what is best for the club.
