Yep, it seems the bar has been raised stupidly high by the Raheem Sterling fiasco.£10M **** off he's worth at least twice that
£10 Mil is nothing for Redmond. English Premium. Massive potential. One of our key players. Nowhere near his value.Yep, it seems the bar has been raised stupidly high by the Raheem Sterling fiasco.
Both for players joining and leaving Prem clubs. Wouldn't it be good if we could do a "system restore" to a time when players agents weren't selfish, money grabbing bastards.
I never said, or even suggested that it was? I'd guess at £15m minimum - considerably more if it was Liverpoo sniffing around.£10 Mil is nothing for Redmond. English Premium. Massive potential. One of our key players. Nowhere near his value.
Wasn't a criticism of your post. I was quoting it to join in the conversation.I never said, or even suggested that it was? I'd guess at £15m minimum - considerably more if it was Liverpoo sniffing around.
West Ham agreed terms with Burak Yilmaz! Wow.
Blimey! He's a finisher though. Pacey, strong. Class signing if they can afford those wages.£125k p/w wages apparently. Mad.
I guess being given a stadium for peanuts has helped.Blimey! He's a finisher though. Pacey, strong. Class signing if they can afford those wages.

Haha! They can afford it, if not they'll just get the taxpayer to fund them just like they have their new stadium![]()
I guess so.They can afford it, if not they'll just get the taxpayer to fund them just like they have their new stadium![]()
Yeah, plus the ****ers have got a bye into the third (3rd) round of the Carling Cup...because they are one of the teams in Europe! Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't they crash and burn at the first available hurdle? They can afford it, if not they'll just get the taxpayer to fund them just like they have their new stadium

The fans have already nicknamed him Burak van Yilmazwinkel.but equally this could be a monumental waste of money.
Sign of losing an argument throwing insults, sorry Rob. McNally is doing exactly the same as every other ceo in football attempting to leverage value from a deal. Hell we don't even know any if the figures involved, unless you believe the media (I rarely do) everyone has an agenda after all. It's called an example you ****wit
We're discussing whether McNally has a habit of bidding low and "being away with the pixies".
Destro won't happen but to be honest, I think £4.5m would have been too much for him. A loan would be a far more interesting approach but he's not a great player, he really isn't. Very surprised by the excitement surrounding him.
So where's the criticism of that ceo? Lol£10 Mil is nothing for Redmond. English Premium. Massive potential. One of our key players. Nowhere near his value.
As with every dealBurak Yilmaz is the classic example - on paper, an incredible signing. But it's actually high risk - his star is on the wane a bit, he's the wrong side of 30, never played outside Turkey, he might just be looking for a last (enormous) pay day. He could be brilliant for them, but equally this could be a monumental waste of money.
