Sign of losing an argument throwing insults, sorry Rob. McNally is doing exactly the same as every other ceo in football attempting to leverage value from a deal. Hell we don't even know any if the figures involved, unless you believe the media (I rarely do) everyone has an agenda after all.

I just think he's a shrewd businessman doing what he's paid to do tbh

Well that was exactly my point, I definitely agree with you on McNally.

The insult was purely on the basis of the repetitive, totally unjustified and hypocritical personal attack - I accept it doesn't strengthen my argument but then my argument wasn't really being played.

Destro won't happen but to be honest, I think £4.5m would have been too much for him. A loan would be a far more interesting approach but he's not a great player, he really isn't. Very surprised by the excitement surrounding him.

Forrin sounding name innit.

Joking aside, if (and a big if) he can sort out his attitude and fitness, there's no reason he can't fulfil his early promise, right? I don't believe he's had a major injury?

The 'AC Milan Factor' needs to be considered.

It's not surprising he went there and under-performed.

"personal attacks"?? "personal vendettas"?? "complete hypocrite with zero shame"?? "spoiling for a fight"??

Take your head out of your arse Rob, you really do sound ridiculous sometimes <laugh><laugh>

I try to avoid engaging with you because your posts directed at me are repetitive along with frequent little digs (I've already made this point), and all the things you accuse me of may well be perfectly valid (I've accepted most of them), but the hypocrisy is that they all fit rather nicely as a crown on your head too. So yep, all those comments by me are pretty much bang on. You're the one who needs a bit of time for self-reflection about how you come across on here. Repetitive, arrogant, refusing to accept you might be wrong, not letting things go. All match you just as much as me. The one thing I am proud of and will leave my head firmly up my arse about is the fact that at least I am able to unconditionally and graciously apologise without any expectation, which is well beyond your capabilities. Get me :).

This will be the last from me on this subject as it is getting completely bloody ridiculous (I sent you a pm around the same time you posted this to that effect), but what I will just say is how entirely wrong you are with your last post, you are way off beam with that. I have had spats and disagreements over the years with several posters, sometimes they have got a little escalated and started getting out of control and I assure you that when this has happened there has been a full and frank apology from me - and I know there are members on here who can definitely vouch for that if you don't believe me. Humility is actually a strength of mine believe it or not, and I have never wanted to fall out or upset anyone on here (or in life generally for that matter) so I'm sorry if that's the way I come across on occasions, but I assure you this little image you seem to have of me truly is wide of the mark <ok>

The problem is that we have quite a big squad already, some on high wages which we need to move on first. We can't afford to leave the likes of RvW and Lafferty out of the 25 man squad while still paying them a fortune. Having said that, McNally and the board do seem a bit naive with regard to current transfer values, if as reported it's true that we offered just £4.5M to sign Destro on a permanent deal then McNally is really away with the Pixies IMO.

I would guess that our wages story true would ensure that any player on the fringe/ not wanted, would not be awarded a higher salary. I have just noticed that " story true " has appeared instead of my typed " structure ".
