He turned down Monaco because he didn't want to leave Italy, I can't see him suddenly deciding that Norfolk is a better option.

Interesting - although I guess it depends whether he didn't want to leave Italy for Monaco or didn't want to leave Italy full stop.

Let's face it, if you were a vain self-centred footballer, would you want to go to Monaco where you would be a moderately wealthy fish in a very crowded pool of super-rich tax avoiders? Or would you prefer to go to sunny Norfolk where you could live (and be treated) like a king?

Not want to leave Italy!! Monaco is as far away from Italy as Wymondham is from Norwich. He could live in Italy and bike to work. If we did only offer £4.5m what is Italian for ' pissing themselves with laughter '

I think we need to be careful with this derisory bid business, it's only gossip for all we know it's that plus add ons etc. So I'll hold my judgement on McNally for now

Destro is a player to avoid. Bad trainer, horribly out of condition and picks up silly injuries. Could have been a special player but his attitude is all wrong. Won't happen anyway so not sure why I'm posting this! He'll go to Bologna.

Morning Supers - are you hearing anything? My reliable contacts are coming up with nothing at all including on outgoings.

Hi mate.

No. I think they're really struggling to get anyone in who would actually improve us for the limited money we have available. We're shopping in the £5-7m bracket - it doesn't get you much these days! And it doesn't help that they haven't been able to shift two or three of the high earners who won't feature in the first team. They wanted Mbokani, a Congo international striker from Dynamo Kiev but I don't think they can get him a work permit.

I do keep mentioning on here that outgoings are as important as incomings. When you add on pension contributions, NI and other employment costs two or three players who you do not want costing £2m a year each blows a massive hole in your budget. On top of that you do not get most of the Premiership money until the end of the season and some of it you only get in parachute payments if you get relegated. If they can get rid of the expensive deadwood it could boost the transfer budget.
